Every Woman Has A Story. . .And That's Just The Beginning. Life isn't fair. Most women know it. But what can you do about it? Plenty. . .if you're part of the Sisterhood. On the surface, these seven women are as different as can be--but each has had her share of bad luck, from cheating husbands to sexist colleagues to a legal system that often doesn't do its job. Now, drawn together by tragedy, they're forging a bond that will help them right the wrongs committed against them and discover inner strength they didn't know they had. Growing bolder with each act of justice, the Sisterhood is learning that when bad things happen, you can roll over and play dead. . .or you can get up fighting. . . In the tradition of "The First Wives' Club, Weekend Warriors" is a slam-bang, take-no-prisoners tale of survival, sweet revenge, and the healing power of friendship. "Readers who grow weary of seeing the bad guys get away with their crimes will enjoy seeing what happens when well-funded, very angry women take the law into their own hands."--"Booklist"

11-17-24: My 42nd finished book of 2024! This is Book@1 in the Sisterhood Series. Myra and Nikki lose the woman most important to them and get no justice for her death. So mayra puts together the Sisterhood. A group of wronged woman who are going to exact their own vengeance. In Book 1, we see Kathryn‘ story of violence and redemption play out. Each novel will follow a different woman‘s story with Myra at the helm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣2️⃣

Here‘s my final stats for September‘s monster sized #BookSpinBingo board! The final count was 48 books read from this selection. I did also read a handful of mood reads, making my September total 77. 😱 SUPER proud of those numbers. Let‘s see if I can match that in October! 😉

#top20series #20series20days

Sisterhood Series - I read about 8 of these books back around 2010. The first book I really enjoyed. They are somewhat formulaic but still fun reads. I loved scouring used book stores for the next installment then. I have not carried on with the series, but would still recommend the first book.

Andrew65 Need to search these out. 4y
LibrarianRyan I COMPLEATLY AGREE WITH THIS CHOICE! It's on my list too. 4y

A quick, easy, fun read that I blew through in one sitting!! I wasn‘t sure what to expect about this story: seven women form a club (the “Sisterhood”) so they can find justice for the big ways they‘ve been wronged. But it worked for me and I‘m 100% moving on to the next one in the series. They operate outside of the law, and YES it requires suspension of disbelief. But I‘ve craved easy, breezy reading lately and this story really fit that bill.

MicheleinPhilly And to add insult to injury the first grandchild was born 3 days AFTER her birthday so she‘s literally the “middle” child. 😬 6y

I loved this book so much! A friend from work recommended this series to me and I‘m very glad she did! The appeal of a series of books about a group of women who vow revenge against those that wrong them was very strong for me! This is the first book in The Sisterhood series and I am definitely ready for book 2!

I‘ve read several Fern Michaels books over the years and found them just to be okay. Nothing special, just meh. Except this one. It‘s amazing. The first in long running Sisterhood series, it‘s a take on revenge. A group of women take revenge on men and women who have done them wrong, both physically and emotionally. What these women do in this book is ultimate revenge. #IllMakeYouSorry #NoFemmeber

Cinfhen Ooooh!!! My interest has been peaked (edited) 6y
Billypar I take it you don't mean 'living well'? 😀 6y
Librarybelle @Billypar No living well for the target of these women! 6y

Mehso-so

I‘m a bit mixed on this one. The story was entertaining, but I sure didn‘t like the women, nor did I agree with what they were doing. I also found it difficult to believe that Nikki would put her career on the line like that. I also found that it was too quick and easy that they were able to find the people they wanted revenge on. I also feel like the cover is quite misleading – it‘s a pretty white cover with flowers… hmmmmm.
