pickThis is a young adult forbidden romance (student/teacher) though there is only 3 years of age between the two MCs. I felt the romance took a back seat to other things. The story was more about loss and grief. Which I thought the author handled well. Not an earth shattering story but good nonetheless. 3.5 - 4⭐️.

pickHeavy on the heartbreak and very teenage angsty. True to CoHo style, love doesn‘t come easy but it does come fast. The writing is easy going and sucks you in immediately. I could not put my book down and finished it in less than 24 hours. My favorite line…

pickThis is my third book by Colleen Hoover, and the second one that had me crying my eyes out. 🤣 I can see why she has such a large fan base. I‘ve struggled to put down the ones I‘ve read and their definitely quick reads for me. I can‘t wait to read the next book to see what‘s coming next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

pickI had to stay up way past bedtime to finish this! It was my first CoHo novel and I have to read the rest of her books. I loved it so much and I just didn‘t want to put it down. I definitely need the next in the series to find out what happens ASAP!
so-soThis is an interesting take on the teacher/student romance storyline. I liked the story, but for character's that were to be more mature for their age, acted so immature about their feelings for each other.
pickUgh I‘m not sure where to start. I cried so there is that. Heavy topics but amazing cast of characters but I have to admit a few times Layken was a brat. But at the same time I understand where she was at still...bratty. I‘m off to pick up the second in this trilogy.

I just couldn‘t get past Layken‘s immaturity. She acted more like a 15 year old than an 18 year old. Also, her poor mom. Imagine giving your daughter that kind of news and she immediately runs to some guy‘s house to avoid you. I‘d be 💔 heartbroken.

I looove Colleen Hoover so much. I love that Avett Brothers lyrics inspired her to write her first ever book. I love that she self-published this on Amazon with no intention of it actually selling, and it hit the New York Times Bestseller list and got picked up by a major publisher. If you haven't read Colleen Hoover, I highly recommend her. She's an amazing person and an amazing author, and I'm so excited to read her debut novel. ❤

pickAnother great book by Colleen Hoover! So addicted to the story of Will and Lakeyn. There‘s something about CoHo‘s style of writing that just pulls me in immediately and keeps me hooked. Definitely recommend Slammed 👍🏻
pickThis is the second poetry teacher/student relationship book I‘ve read in a row (random). And this one is SO AMAZING. I cried. I actually cried. And I laughed a lot too. I think I‘m left slightly disappointed because I wanted more romance & the epilogue tied up loose ends too quickly for me. I wasn‘t ready for it to end. But I am more than excited to read book 2 of the series and see where it goes from here. Maybe I‘ll get what I was missing.

pickRead this last March 2013. This is the first book I've read of Colleen's and she's now my 2nd top most read author. You guys should get acquianted with Will, Lake and slam poetry.

Okay, hold on. He just bought an alternator for her? A 21 yet old guy raising his nine year old bro with a bunch of student debt and while student teaching? I mean granted he is getting paid but teaching doesn't pay that much. Alternators aren't that cheap. I'm really trying to like this book... but little things keep knocking me out.
pickI was hesitant going into this because I hate when authors use the death of a parent as a plot device for romance, but I didn't feel like that happened here. I loved this book, I was in tears from chapter 1 (but that tends to happen with dead dad storylines).
