I‘m super impressed that this portrait of a neighborhood over many years actually came to life with all its misfits and misanthropes. And I did enjoy the writing style. That said, 800+ pgs with no real plot thread and no likable characters was rough!

Daisey I‘m not loving it, and I keep keep thinking this is one that might have been better if I‘d just powered through instead of sticking with the chapter a day. 2y

#chapteraday reading is my favorite way to start the day. I‘ll often add a classic from my own shelves to this pile. My morning reading for January are these #pemberlittens selections and ~20 pages of Leaves of Grass.
