Choosing this for my Feb #seasonalcozies because Feb marks Sturgeon Spearing in WI- one of the only places in the world with the tradition, and the state of our ice is terrible 😂
Also choosing this for my Feb #readordonate in an effort to not overextend myself 🤣
#BookReport Finished Mansfield Park a little early...not my favorite Austin. The Candymakers was fun and On Thin Icing was ok for # BakedGoodsontheCover for #Booked2021. Should finish Force of Nature this week for #SetinAustralia for the last Winter prompt. Should finish my other two current reads this week as well. I feel like I haven‘t read anything with depth in a while. Need to fix that.

Been a while since I last posted a book review. This is book #3 in the Bakeshop Mystery Cozy Series and it didn‘t disappoint. Now that I know Ashland is an *actual* place (what ikr?)..I can‘t wait to visit the place minus the murders lol. Until then these series should suffice. :)
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I really enjoy the author‘s writing style. It is very descriptive.

If you are a fan of cozies then this series should be your jam! I love how with every book the characters get a little deeper and she always leaves you guessing right up until the very end. Plus, there are always yummy recipes in the back for you to try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you love cozy mysteries, you will love Ellie Alexander‘s bakeshop series. Great characters, good plot, fun location in Ashland Oregon at the Shakespeare festival.
#MarchMunchies #StickyBuns I'm not against cinnamon rolls or sticky buns (I guess the difference is sticky buns usually have nuts on the bottom) but they aren't something I crave or eat often. Checking the blog, I did make Ina's Easy Sticky Buns in '09 (hence the poor photos) 😆This cozy series is set in a bakery & Jules & her mom make sticky buns & rolls for Torte. In this book (#3) there's a recipe for Orange Cardamom Rolls with or without nuts.
This series has really inspired me to get my counters dirty. Keto bread and cookies. 😊 I enjoyed the third in the series with its different setting, new dishes and free recipes. Excited to see there will be a fourth book coming out. On to the next cozy! #ilovecozies #cozymonth
"I had changed. Home had changed. Neither of us were the same. And for the first time since I'd been back, I understood that was exactly as it should be."
The 3rd book in this foodie cozy mystery set in Ashland, OR has Jules catering a weekend retreat at a snowy resort. The sleazy resort bartender turns up dead, Jules estranged husband shows up, as does her old boyfriend & cop Thomas & a snowstorm has them all stuck. This was not my favorite of the three books, I think because I get a little tired of hearing how sexy her Spanish husband is & how unsettled he makes her but still a fun read overall.👍
Kicking back on the first night of 2017 with a snack/dessert & a third book (what can I say....I'm a moody reader!). Hot coconut mint chocolate with whipped cream & a shot of peppermint schnapps and my beloved Lu cookies. Far better than frobscottle and snozzcumber in my opinion. 😆 Oh yeah, I am also watching The BFG on Netflix. It's very cute. I may have to do a reread of Dahl's book after watching it. 💜
