Oh I love this series of books. I love the bond between Maeve and Josh. It's real and complex. The stories are always good with clever twists along the way. This one was no different and a brilliant read. The plot builds and throws many possible answers until the dramatic ending. The ending was well written and finished the story off well. #Netgalley 4*

So day 1 of #NutsInMay and managed nearly five hours. No books finished yet but made chunks through them. Plus my March Fairyloot has arrived.

Leo Stone was convicted of being a serial killer. He‘s free due to a mistrial. DS Maeve Kerrigan and DI Josh Derwent are determined to review all the evidence prior to his retrial. Maeve is not sure he‘s guilty.
Maeve is contacted by Rob which complicates her friendship with Derwent. Cliffhanger about a new love interest has me waiting for the next book which comes out in April. Recommend this series but should read these books in order.

Another great read in the Maeve Kerrigan Series. This is a really great series for anyone that hasn‘t read it, with great characterisation, plots, dialogue and they are very well written. If you like series with a strong female lead and detective fiction this could well be for you. This may even be the best of the series, and now I wait with baited breath for the new one next year. Just one downside, I wish the serial killer had got Georgia😂 👇

Can‘t wait! Will start reading it today! I have to say she‘s really high up on my fave authors list. Yes, so are many others, but Casey really is a fantastic storyteller.

In an effort to be a bit less overwhelmed by the sheer number of series I‘m either in the middle of or in possession of, I‘ve been trying to focus on one at a time when the mood strikes. Over the last 2+ months I‘ve powered through books 3-8 in this series and am thrilled there is a 9th coming in Spring. This one may be my favorite of the series. One more series up-to-date! 👍🏼

It is cold and rainy and I am in fuzzy sweats, fuzzy socks, and a MASSIVE sweater, drinking hot apple cider tea, with an apple peel scented candle burning. AND I HAVE BEEN READING FOR 2 HOURS. So basically being a basic bitch is what my reading mojo needed.

I love this series by Jane Casey so I was really pleased to see a new one. The detectives are great, the cases are intriguing and the books are so well written, I just wolf them down!!

Personal relationships & professional rivalries are at the fore. I have found myself reversing my previous position with this book & I‘m now #TeamDerwent. Some of the scenes between Maeve & Derwent practically smoulder with chemistry. 4🌟

I really enjoyed this police procedural. Set in the UK, the main character is a detective sergeant who is put on the case of re-investigating a murder trial. There has been enough doubt thrown on the conviction of the murderer that they have to trawl back through the whole thing. And they find some interesting and dangerous new evidence. I think that‘s a vague enough synopsis! I couldn‘t put it down though! Such an exciting, enthralling story.

Great twisty plot, didn‘t guess until the reveal was about to happen! Advances in Maeve‘s personal storyline too.
Great series. Not only am I up to date, but I read the latest on publication date, I should quit whilst I‘m ahead....
