Another fun installment in this series. I listened on audio and really enjoyed it again. I love stories set in big, interesting hotels. 😍

I didn't dislike it, cute story for YA/MG, but felt the magic and mystery aspect were lacking. I thought it might be a more enjoyable read following the series (this is book 2) but based on reviews many liked first book better than this one - so........ it may be that this story ran out of steam after the first book?

These are the words (celebrate, game, mistletoe) I find the least in my holiday books!!

1. I really enjoy horror - Stephen King a favorite but have not “met“ a master - most of the authors I enjoy in this genre have hits and misses!
2. Yes there are books I do not finish - usually they are books that I do not look forward to getting back to - bad writing, story not engaging, my mood off
3. Family

Just thinking - taking out the words “only“ and “should“ - our reflections become much more positive -
“I only read 1 book for the readathon“ “I should have finished 2 books“
vs.
“I read 1 book“ (yay you)

Listened to this on audio today. I‘d love to be a guest at Winterhouse.
A sequel well done! If you enjoyed the first book, the second will be a lot of fun too. We're again searching Winterhouse for its hidden secrets, find out more about Elizabeths family, and have to face our fears once more. Only Freddys role was a bit to small for my taste. I hope he'll get to do more in the third book. But I was so happy to be back at Winterhouse - I totally feel Elizabeth there! 😄

This book would've been my absolute ride or die as a kid. Magical library and mysterious hidden tunnels under the Winterhouse resort which has a candy factory...
1. Nearly 100 books (Goodreads says 67, but my personal list says 99...so somewhere in there).
2. 40 books!
3. I DON‘T know! I know my book club is doing Carry On by Rainbow Rowell next and I just finished Fangirls so I am kinda intrigued by that.
4. Snowmen and hot cocoa.

This was the second part of the Winterhouse trilogy. I liked the second book pretty much even if the first one was a bit better in my opinion.
Elizabeth returns in the second installment back to Winterhouse again around Christmas. On her way there she meets a curious family and the whole time, Elizabeth is certain something bad is going to happen.
The book is full of bookish hints and it's great to meet all the lovely characters again.
Some late night reading... 😴😴😴 Need to finish this until Friday... Enjoy it pretty much.
Finally diving into the second part. 😍😍😍😍 I loved the first one so much. Hope the second one is as good as the one. 😍😍😍😍
Book 2 in the Winterhouse series. A middle grade book that is perfect for a winter day.
This was a worthy part two of the Winterhouse trilogy. Full of puzzles, clues and literary references - ❤️ The only downside: Now I have to wait so long for part three. 😩
