A solid sequel to the first. The known characters are developing and new ones show up. Reeves builds up on the world he created, which I alway enjoy. I didn't quite like the revelation we get at the end, but I still want to continue the series. We made it through the ice! - of course I want to know what will hapen now!
I rate this book a 6/10. It was a good sequel and I loved how the characters interacted with each other. However, there was a lot of vocabulary I had to look up and some events were slightly unclear. Overall it added to the story nicely.
I am really enjoying this series. So far every book has been different yet really well linked. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Pre BBQ reading homemade salsa cheese dips and fried pickle with ranch flavored chips (not together, I promise) #scholastic #dystopia #YA
The love triangle ruined everything. It was so bad. I can't even describe it. :(
I really enjoyed this second installment of the Mortal Engines series. I honestly had worried how it would go with so many of the previous books characters gone. I enjoyed the new adventure and new and exciting characters. Really excited about things to come with that ending!

"Their names were Machine Washable and Allow Twelve Days For Delivery." ????
Audiosewing! It would make more sense if I was listening to Harry Potter but I‘m hooked on the second Mortal Engines novel after seeing the movie. Poor Tom and Hester!
Meeehh. I thought Mortal Engines was way better. This novel ended up being very predictable with characters that only seemed to superficially grow. YA isn‘t really my genre anyway. Guess I‘ll go ahead to book three and hope we see some bigger stuff.
Welp, I‘m trapped under dog.

When I got home from Book Club Monday night, I found this book on top of my TBR pile. Yesterday evening, the third book in the series was right next to it. My son keeps adding them every time he finishes one. I think he‘s excited to talk about it! He‘s totally into this series—when he finds a book he really connects with, he doesn‘t stop reading...ever—and I have some reading of my own to do if I‘m going to catch up!
Not as good as the first book and I won‘t be rushing to read the rest in the series but it‘s a fun, quick read. #booked2018 #steampunk
"Sleepily she waited for her servants to come help her out of bed. It took her a few moments to remember that they were all dead." I read this sentence and then realized I hadn't read the first book yet!?
A fantastic sequel in The Hungry City Chronicles. Can't wait for the next book.
