I thought I had this one figured out. Then I realized I was wrong. Then I thought I had it figured out (again) but I was only partially correct. Kudos to Unger on a well written twisty, psychological thriller.

pickAnother great book from Lisa Unger. I‘m so glad I came across her writing. These aren‘t a series but they do have an area known as “The Hollows” in common. Interesting.

The story is so well written and immersed in this psychological mystery there is some food for thought regarding death and losing a loved one. I may have only caught this because I continue to grieve for a loved one myself.

pickGood, twisty thriller. Sort of guessed quite near the end, but good enough to want to read how the author brings it together.

It was a great read, keeping you guessing, without going down the too many obvious cliches route. 4🌟

pickMy first book of 2019 was UNDER MY SKIN by Lisa Unger, who is a reliable go-to author for me, and I have a feeling her psychological thriller wouldn‘t disappoint, where so many in this genre have just not been as good as I wanted them to be recently. Happily, I really enjoyed getting lost in this novel and its twists and turns; I think how much I enjoyed it sets a good tone for my reading in this new year!
Picked up these three today can‘t wait to start them

It feels like I haven't finished a book in weeks. Under My Skin had the unfortunate luck of being read during my reading slump and busy work month. This may have contributed to my lackluster feelings about the book; I'm not sure. I do know that I struggled with the first half of the book, and I found part of the ending a little over the top, but overall it was an enjoyable read.

This was my first book by this author but I will definitely read more by her.

Police have no clues and Poppy is trying to remember her last days with her husband. Suspense builds as Unger takes us on a wild ride with this psychological thriller that will twist and turn you to the very end. Recommended to those who love psychological mystery/thrillers.

The beginning was a bit slow, but it wasn‘t boring. Then things slowly started to happen and I was questioning the MC and her take on reality with everything that happens to her. As the book went on, the plot fell flat to me. The ending was alright, I see how everything came together, but I thought it would be this big revelation somehow.
The MC mentions a ghost orchid, and I‘ve never heard of them, but this flower looks like a lil dude just chillin. Lol.
