I love that Stine is writing more modern books for today's teens (let's face it though, he's writing for us almost 40's who grew up on him)
I didn't love this story as much as I expected but by the end it was growing on me. What I do love is that no matter how much time has passed, the writing stays the same 🤣

I'm not generally one for a #Creature Feature (though I DO enjoy a good vampy book now and then) but I've been craving some old school scares and put a ton of Stine on hold. I mean, who actually does it better?

Book 101🎧 3⭐️
This story is told in 2 time lines, both on the wedding day of a Fier sister. Little sister Harmony isn‘t going to give up so easily when her sister goes missing the morning of the wedding. & another body is found over the cliffs edge😱
So I put my #screamathon2020 list together. These are books I currently own. But it‘s not exhaustive. Just ones I‘m most interest in reading.
See any you like?
Torie!!! Thanks so much for all of my amazing treats! The books are perfect! I love the pumpkin, spooky coasters, and of course the reading frog. The skeleton hand and scarf and so fun. Yummy candy and a Hocus Pocus bookmark-perfect! You are awesome and I appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness. Happy Halloween 🎃🖤🎃

This book was good I wanted to read it before I gave it to a family member and it only took me 14 days I was reading other books along with this one
This book was not particularly well-written, though the last five chapters or so made me remember why I used to love Fear Street books so much.
This follows the typical formula for the Fear Street books, but since its modern day it lacks the nostalgia feelings. 😂
Drove through our snow-crap-ular weather, donated plasma, & made it home! Now I can finally have my essential morning coffee and start this lovely book which will no doubt make me nostalgic.
I haven't been able to read too much for enjoyment lately, but it is needed today and this seems like the perfect book! #FearStreet #SaturdayRead
Geez. This one sucked.
I missed yesterday's #literarylove so here is my belated #februarytbr
I'm going back to my teenage obsession of R. L. Stine and doing a bloody valentine theme.

Hoping to squeeze in one more book before the year ends! Enjoying a cup of coffee and #Shadow snuggles on this foggy day here in Seattle! Hoping the fog burns off soon. I have things I need to do! #Shippy @Zelma
What are your NYE plans?
I was really excited when I saw this on my library‘s new books list, and enjoyed the first few chapters. Unfortunately, by about the 100-page mark the rough pacing got to me, to the point where I almost didn‘t finish the book. Won‘t be reading the sequel, but it‘s inspired me to find some of the ‘90s books. 2/5 #novemberreads #horror #nostalgiareads #YA
I started You May Now Kill the Bride today and it is good so far 😊

I desperately want to like new RL Stine. I was obsessed when Fear Street first came out. I tried Red Rain when t came out and it was meh. I was psyched for this one but jeez... just not good. An easy read but honestly just kind of boring, and predictable. The end was a wash. I was disappointed and I won‘t keep trying. Just not the glory days of Fear Street!
First book for #screamathon !
I loved Fear Street as a teen! So excited to start this one 🙀🔪📚
I was so excited that after 20 years, R.L. Stine was bringing back his Fear Street series. I loved them when I was a teenager. I had to read the first book in the revival immediately but quickly realized that I'm not a teenager anymore, and my reading interests have changed. I didn't hate this book, but I just think it is for a certain age group that isn't mine.
This novel piqued my interest when I saw the author; a new R.L. Stine book?! And it‘s YA?! Sold😅 #RLStine #fearstreet #spookyreada
Just picked this beauty up at the Library! I used to read them as a kid and can‘t wait to see what this one is all about. #libraryhaul
The covers for the new Fear Street titles are just great.
A heavy dose of nostalgia this weekend!
