Kiddo and I went to Fort Worth (again) for new pointe shoes (again). We went to a new-to-us Barnes & Noble as a treat.
In my defense, I can‘t be expected to exercise restraint when they set up mythology and myth-inspired tables right next to each other in the main aisle. I did resist all the other pretty shiny things.

I‘m not sure what else I‘ll be crafting for January‘s #LitsyCrafters #Retro prompt, but I‘ll definitely be colouring in these pages! Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Mean Girls, and The Addams Family we‘re all childhood/teenage favourites of mine. 🖤

For the #midyearrush I want to get caught up with my new reading goal. July 6 is about 51% into the year, and I need to finish seven books to be at 51% of my goal.
Meet my newest foster kitten, Edison! He's a 6 week old fluffball that I intend to have for a much shorter duration than I did my orange litter. (Which speaking of my orange litter... two are adopted out, two are still with me, and of those two, one of them is officially mine!)

It‘s not really Christmas shopping if you don‘t buy just as many presents for yourself, right? With the postal strike, I just finally got the last of my recent spate of book buying (how could I resist all those bonus points? Or those deep discounts? I‘m only human!) And now that they are all stacked together, I can see maybe I didn‘t need so many?
Having a couple of tins of Brew Dog Zeitgeist to help assuage the guilt/sense of failure at blowing my Buy No Books in '18 vow .... again .....
