Book 2 in this series and just as good as the 1st. A woman has been murdered in the library, but why? Verity, Frankie & Ellis work at solving the mystery. The town's history & a family secret are somehow connected. And Frankie desperately wants to be ungrounded. I love the characters in this series and the story provides just enough action and mystery to keep me intrigued.

3✨ I‘m so glad that the second book continued to entertain me. This was another fun read and I‘m ready for more mysteries with these characters. Read for #LMPBC #GroupD and this in my June #Bookspin

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 4y
LibrarianRyan Yeah. And I have not made a post yet (I'm going to) but thank you so much for Evil Thing. I didn't have it yet!!! And I saw Cruella last night. I really need to get this series going as I have them all. Thank you SOOOOO Much.

This is book 2 in the Southern Spirits series. It picks up just a little over a month after book one. It is the same silly fun read that just makes you happy. And while it is a separate story and a new mystery, I love how Angie connected books one and two. I have book 3 sitting on my shelf and I am trying to find time to crack it open because I know it will be good. I have fallen head over heels for this series and want more.

Okay crew - Here is what I have to offer for #LMPBC Round 11.

First off is book 2 in the Southern Spirits Series. I have it and can have it ready to go soon.

Or if you all want something different, the following look pretty good too:

Brownies and Broomsticks
The Vampire Knitting Club
And Caught Dead Handed

Thoughts? @LittleWolf1 @Roary47 @Hadams1776

Jadams89 I‘m thinking the next Angie Fox or the Vampire Knitting Club. But I also love Bailey Cates. And the other one sounds cute too. So that was helpful.... 4y
Roary47 I am good with book 2! I also have Cates on my list. I‘m thinking that if there is a lot on everyone elses TBR that majority wants ill just get that extra one for the group. Sound good? 4y
LibrarianRyan @Jadams1776 I so know how that goes. 4y

LibrarianRyan @Roary47 Sound good to me. I was thinking of buying the Knitting club one anyway. 4y
Littlewolf1 Brownies and Broomsticks is on my TBR , but the Vampire knitting Club sounds interesting too 4y
Roary47 @LibrarianRyan I would like to own the Brownies and Broomsticks if you wanted to pick between the next Angie Fox or Vampire Knitting Club. Then you can read two on your list. Plus @Littlewolf1 and @Jadams1776 get 3? Am I doing that math right? 4y
LibrarianRyan @Roary47 sounds like it. 4y
Littlewolf1 @LibrarianRyan Been kind of losing my mind lately and I don‘t remember which book you chose to read. I‘m just being curious because I‘m working on my reading list for the month 4y
Littlewolf1 @LibrarianRyan I also wanted to tell you that for our other group, I got the labyrinth graphic novels late so I‘m just finishing them up and I should have them out to you by this weekend. Also I forgot to send your book cover for the other book so I‘ll be sending it with the labyrinth books. 4y
LibrarianRyan @Littlewolf1 okay. It‘s all good. I got Ghost of a chance late as well and will be sending it late. I did get demonslayer and will be mailing it forward today. @cwarnier I got a package from you but have not opened it yet. 4y

For your amusement and because there‘s no reading happening here at all: I‘m clearing out the storage unit we packed assuming this whole expat gig would be 2yrs, then home. 6yrs later.... I literally found a skeleton in my closet and we managed to donate a bottle of Ouzo (by accident, boxes got mixed up) to the extremely teetotal Salvation Army... 🤦🏻‍♀️😂🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Going really, really well.... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Chrissyreadit Are you still away? Where did you go? 5y
GlassAsDiamonds @Chrissyreadit kinda! I‘m at “home”, which is Australia but actual home is Singapore at the moment! We thought we‘d just be moving for a short term contract but it turned into .... an ongoing “adventure”. Unfortunately we packed for two yrs then home but now don‘t want to pay to store stuff that won‘t keep anyway... so... I‘m spending my “holiday” in a storage cage! 🤦🏻‍♀️ but satisfying! 😊 5y
Chrissyreadit That sounds like an adventure! 5y

CarolynM Well done you, I'm sure the Salvos will find some way to use your gift 😂 As for the skeleton in the closet...😂😂😂 Hope you're getting some of relaxing in too.😘 (edited) 5y
Cinfhen I was just thinking about you thinking you were in Singapore and now I see you‘re home. Sorry you had to fly in for a funeral but I‘m glad you‘re physically ok. 5y
CarolynM Hi there 👋 Just checking in with you. Hope you are doing ok. Are you back home in Singapore or did you get caught in the travel restrictions? Sending love and hugs wherever you are. 5y

I‘m really loving this series. So much fun and a quick read. I love the cast of characters, and was glad to see one taken down a peg this time. I just wish the ebooks were a little less $ because I can‘t get them from the library and there‘s a lot of them.

KrystleTheBookSlayer Love this series! I'm reading them slowly too since I have to purchase them. 6y

I always enjoy this fun cozy series, even though I tend to read it out of order (whoops)

This mystery revolves around a murder revolving around historical artifacts, a civil war reenactment/documentary, and old secrets. The protagonist Verity must interview ghostly witnesses to solve the mystery before she or a loved one pays the ultimate price. I figured out who the killer was immediately, but the journey to the reveal was fun and entertaining.

Starting this one today. If you like quirky paranormal cozy mysteries, then I'd definitely recommend this series, although this will be my first time listening to the audio version of any of the books in the series. 👻
