so-so

The newest in a long line of Katrina van Tassels finds her own life mirroring that of the first Katrina. Things get even more complicated when a group of boys try to summon a ghost.

This was a cute & spooky YA story with some fun bi representation, with modern & historical parallel storylines. Lots of interesting side characters, but felt very tell instead of show & the ending was really abrupt. It did leave me wanting more. 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

BookmarkTavern For a book where both the main characters deal with gaslighting by men who profess to love them, and one character genuinely worrying she was losing her mind, this book was a little too blasé using crazy as slang for my tastes. 2y

mrsmarch I need to get my book back to the post office….I tried to take it earlier this week and they wouldn‘t accept it in a paper envelope! Said that wasn‘t acceptable for media mail! 🤨 2y

TheAromaofBooks @mrsmarch - How weird! Media mail does have a lot of random rules associated with it. I use these bubbler mailers like the one in the picture and they seem to go through okay. 2y

mrsmarch I‘ve read Spindle‘s End a long time ago and enjoyed it. I wouldn‘t mind a reread if that was the pick. But I‘d also like to read the Snow White one! 2y

TheAromaofBooks I have read The Wrath and the Dawn and didn't care for it. Spindle's End is one of my all-time favorites that I love and am always up for a reread. The other two I haven't read so I'm fine with either!! 2y

The Cold King | Amber Jaeger

Hey #GroupD here are a few of the fantasy books on my TBR - I have more choices if none of these seem appealing!!! I think the tagged book is the only one that is technically a fairy tale retelling, though, so I'll have to delve a little deeper if we want to stick strictly to retellings.
