I saw that Instagram made a new app called Threads. Instagram suggested that I join Threads. I wasn‘t sure if I wanted to join but I joined anyway. I didn‘t even have to make a new account. A lot of the book accounts I‘m following are already on the app. From what I can see, this is another alternative to Twitter. I don‘t use Twitter that much anymore. I haven‘t decided what I‘m going to post on there though.

I've just started up an instagram account (reluctantly) as part of my library studies course and upcoming placement (where I'll be looking at the use of social media in public libraries). I'm now looking for some good bookish or library accounts to follow. Bonus if they're Australian. Any suggestions?

Sue I‘m over there as doddyaboutbooks and I follow a lot of bookish accounts. Book Riot is there and the crew is always good for bookish activity. Look for the bookstagram # and I‘m sure you‘ll find a bunch. There are plenty of authors over there as well. (edited) 7y

So I've just been handed the Instagram account for the cat welfare group I volunteer for ?
"Have fun" they said.
"Be snarky" they said.
"Post lots of cat photos" they said.
I feel like I need a primer on how to Instagram! Anyone have tips? All I can think of are posts with cats and books ?
