Agatha Raisin has fled to the seaside town of Wyckhadden because she lost all her hair. She stays at an inn filled with old residents. She's told about a Witch that could help her hair. Soon, she's embodied in another mystery.

Agatha Raisin's books always brighten my day. I laugh out loud at some of the antics she gets into. I can't help but like her. A great cozy mystery series to read.or listen too.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

Another fun instalment in the Agatha Raisin series. I missed our friends in Carsely but it was fun to meet a new cast of quirky characters.

Book 8/9 for #OutstandingOctober (and I only missed my goal by about 200 pages after getting sidelined with a migraine most of yesterday afternoon!!)

Soft pick for this one…Agatha travels to Wyckhadden and becomes embroiled in murder. Her constant lamentations on her love life kinda got to me this time around, but it‘s still an enjoyable listen, especially when doing house chores. A few laugh out loud moments. Ready to dive into the next in the series!

KathyWheeler In some of these books, her whining about her love life is more annoying than it is in others. Maybe because it‘s more frequent in some of them? Plus, I don‘t like James, and she refuses to listen to me about him. 😄 1y
Librarybelle @KathyWheeler I know! I am so not a fan of James, and yet Agatha is so dogged in her pursuit. If only she would listen…😂 1y

I Gave it 3 stars, this series is one on my comfort pleasures. I know I'll get a descent storyline and a few laughs. Somehow I skipped book #8 so I'll have to back tracked before I move on to book #10

These audio books are really making my new job commute enjoyable. I want so bad for Agatha to find someone really compatible. Charles and James are just the worst! Looking forward to the next one 🙂

I‘m so enjoying reading this series via audiobook! I like Agatha more and more with each book. Some reviewers complain about her constant romantic entanglements, but I find them quite funny and relatable. The mystery aspect in this one was quite good. I‘ve already started book 10! 4.5⭐️

KathyWheeler I didn‘t start complaining about her romantic entanglements until way later in the series than this book. Most of the time, I find them funny. 4y

There was definitely a very eerie, witchy vibe to this book! Very enjoyable.
Definitely another recommended read by M.C Beaton!

This is, i think, the ninth book in this series and while they are still enjoyable and quick listens on Borrowbox in between other books, I'm getting a bit fed up of Agatha's romantic entanglements. In saying that I will still continue with the series over the next few months.

KathyWheeler Yeah — she has terrible taste in men and she plays games, which I hate. Welcome to Litsy! 6y
Brewychock48 @BookishMeanderings ,I love the Agatha Raisin series. Agatha is annoying at times, but you gotta love her💞She does have terrible taste in men,I agree with @Kathy Wheeler. She is uppity ,but I love it. Have you read the Hamish MacBeth series,by the same author. He is a cool character. Another good series. 6y

I've been in a bit of an audiobook slump and everything that I really want to listen to has a long wait list on Overdrive. Hoopla saved the day with this Agatha Raisin book. This series is entertaining, but I wish that Agatha didn't always jump immediately to thinking about marriage when she meets a man she's interested in.

Love MC Barton's series titles for their eccentric characters. Agatha Raisin again stumbles into murder and danger. A quick read...perfect read to clean the palette and move on to the next in the TBR pile.

This book was mentioned in a book tube video and I was intrigued. Thought it was middle grade/YA but looks like it's not. Still interested.
