I‘m glad I read the third one first in this trilogy, because if I had read in order, I wouldn‘t have continued. This is repetitive and just… terrible. I began to hate the relationship of Poppy and Tyler. Just… nope.

This book took me by surprise. I absolutely loved Tyler and felt for him. It was obvious from early on that he was not where he was meant to be. Then he meets his soul mate and you know there will be consequences. Though I don't condone their actions, I still sympathize with the characters. I love when an author makes me feel so much. Great story.

So-so, mostly because I have never had to suspend my disbelief QUITE this hard before😅 The characters were well drawn, and the spice was…intense, and overall an enjoyable enough romance, but there was just something about the way it was carried out that didn‘t ring true for me. An affair this illicit needs to be a lot more circumspect than this one is — they might as well have put an ad out. I may just be too cynical, but can‘t help that!

(For real though, if you're religious this one would probably have you clutching your pearls. But as it's between two consenting adults, and i'm not personally religious, the taboo nature of it all didn't bother me)

I have seen so much about this book all over social media and I decided to dive in and see what the hype was about and let me just say, it was 🥵! I am definitely a fan of smut. I already have the second book on hold on Libby and I absolutely cannot wait to get it!

Have you ever gone to buy a book and the been told you actually bought it 2 years ago and just never read it? Well that‘s me today with this trash. I guess I should read it 😂

Gah all the feels and smut in one book. I was living for this story. I listened to it in 3 sittings on audible and the narrators did fantastic at bringing the characters to life. I loved watching Tyler and Poppy‘s relationship play out. The ups and down and them learning to deal with the emotions and actually communicate it to each other. The smut scenes was fabulous 😏. There‘s a lot of smutty scenes and I was living for it.

I know I‘m going against the grain here but I enjoyed it. Read it for what it is a spicy romance that‘s not there to change the world. I love this authors writing style. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. #wintergames2021 #mistletoemaniacs #wintercosy #romantsy @Clwojick @PuddleJumper

I gave you half your pages, book, to catch my interest and you failed. It does have me reflecting on my dislike of alphas - is it because that is the most heteronormative configuration, or at least that's how it strikes me? Much to think about while laughing at these serious sex scenes.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the fucky priest book is stridently, aggressively heternormative, huh? Once again I am the fool!

So, this was between a so-so and a pick for me.
I actually thought it was better towards the end once all the s*** hits the fan! So an overall pick (just).

It‘s a good, quick, sexy read. But some of the sex scenes just weren‘t really my thing. And I found the main girl a bit annoying!

Towards the end there are some hot priest memes mentioned, which made me think of the fleabag hot priest memes. Hence the picture choice :p

There was a back episode of Get Booked that focused entirely on adult romance. I think I put every book they recommended from that episode on my TBR pile. Not sure what I'll think about this one, but I'm pretty much up for reading anything if it's well written and keeps my interest.

Currently listening to this audiobook and it it HOT!!! Y‘all about taboo and forbidden.

Borrowing a different edition of Priest to review Midnight Mass, a follow-up novella. Eh, this was a fine long epilogue to Priest. Lots of angsting over how hard actual relationships are. Author did shine in scenes from late in the novella (avoiding spoilers here) but they felt the most “real” in the story.

Ok, so I finally got up the courage to read Priest after Sarah MacLean sold the shit out of it at BRLive in 2015.

And I am basically all eyes-emojis x1000 and blushing. Good HEA. (And for punishment there‘s a really good teaser for the next book, Sinner, and I suppose I‘ll have to read that one, too.)

This book is taboo and steamy as can be. I‘m not sure how I missed it years ago.

One thing I love about this book is that it really dives deep into inner struggles of the characters. You don‘t find that often In this genre.

So, if you are someone familiar with a faith journey and can get around the sacrilege, it‘s got some interesting story to it! (I‘m not Catholic but I would imagine some of the things that happen in this book might trigger some outrage in some serious about their religion.)

Update! Finished it! 5 Stars!

I started this some time ago and then lost track of it in my kindle. Decided to make it my current steamy lust read ... I‘m determined to finish a ton of books I started and never finished!

This quote sums up the book quite nicely. If you are into Alpha makes, religious taboo, etc, the author did a really good job with this one.

This book is amazing. I realize it's not for everyone. But if you like your heat level high, this is a must read!
