pickA chance meeting with an elderly woman named Edith sends Clare's life careening in a new direction on her wedding day. I loved the layered portrayal of the two women, one present day and the other decades earlier. The Blue Sky House had a personality of its own. The pacing was excellent, unfolding pieces of info in the long-ago mystery just a bit at a time. I was glad the ex-boyfriend didn't steal the show in the final third of the book.

pickI‘m a sucker for a book with ‘sky‘ in the title since the daily facade of my hometown‘s sky is a big deal (social media makes it a near competition). ...I liked both storylines here. I was a quarter way in when I realized I was getting a reader‘s digest version of Edith‘s life, and yep, book 3 in the series! It didn‘t take away from this tale, but does make me curious about the previous books.
pickThis novel follows two different women in different time periods, their love stories, and how their lives intersect. It‘s beautifully written, covers sensitive subjects, and leads you down a journey of slight mystery. Definitely recommend.

pickCatching up on my book reviews. This was a #modernmrsdarcy book club pick. A story that shifts between the 1950‘s and the present. Clare Hobbs is about to make a huge mistake until a chance encounter with an elderly woman sitting on a park bench.

pickClare meets an older woman on the eve of her wedding day, who gives her the courage to break off the wedding. Shortly after, the older woman (Edith) dies and leaves Clare her house. Thus begins a mystery of sorts, to trace back Edith‘s backstory and history. I wasn‘t sold on this immediately, but by the halfway point, I was sucked in.
It‘s actually the 3rd in the Love Walked In series, but could easily be a standalone.

pickThis was as refreshing a read as the title implies. We encounter Clare the day before her wedding having second thoughts when she meets a woman named Edith that speaks truth into her life. So begins the story that alternates between present day and the 1950s. This is part of a trilogy but I haven‘t read the others and had no problem following this one. But after reading this one, I‘m apt to read more by Maria De Los Santos.
pickTwo stories. Two voices. And then things merge. A powerful and loving story that is beautifully written.
so-soThis is one of many books I've read lately with two timelines that eventually match up. I liked Edith's timeline better, but I was more intrigued by Claire's. I think that was because there was more momentum on that side. I mostly enjoyed the book, but it feels like a "so-so" because Claire's central conflict was resolved abruptly and in an unrealistic manner. Also, Claire never seemed to consider Zach dangerous, and he definitely was.
I already LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. Maybe I should've started it later im the month, closer to when #modernmrsdarcy meeting will happen. This may be one of my favorite picks of the year. #cantstop #couragedearheart #love #wonderful #mmd
pickThis book is sublime! I couldn‘t put it down. I loved it from the very first word to the very last word. There is laughter, tears, fears, doubts, mystery, danger, love, family, history, romance. pickThis was a lovely book that covers a lot of genres. Romance, self-reflection and mystery are in there. It is packed with a lot for just over 300 pages. Highly recommend, perfect summer read.
Reading this from Modern Mrs. Darcy‘s summer reading guide. I know this is book 3 in the series. I was told I don‘t need to read the first two books, but my brain is struggling with that.
pickI just finished reading I‘ll Be Your Blue Sky and loved it. I never read any of the other books in the series so I was not familiar with any of the characters and I don‘t think it detracted from the story at all. I guessed the ending pretty early on but it sure was fun getting to the big conclusion.

pickI‘ve been waiting for a long time for another book by Marisa de los Santos. She‘s one of my favorite authors and she didn‘t disappoint. Her books always seem to envelop me in warmth and simply make me happy.
I blame the #MarchMunchies foodie photo challenge for having #pizza 🍕as today's prompt. It caused me to stop by my neighborhood pizza place & get their spinach-mushroom-garlic slice for $8. It's actually two big slices but I always put the second slice away in the fridge & eat it for breakfast the next day.🍕😋This is one of the books I'll be reading this weekend for a book tour review next week.📚👍

pickTwo great storylines, intermingled to show truth and love. I always enjoy a book like this which has a modern character puzzling out a mystery from the past. While some points were easy to predict, this is a satisfying read.
