I love Bosch ! I watched all the shows , there is definitely overlap & some changes. Actually the section on the show when he went undercover to expose pill mill crime was much more intense on TV than in the book. The other part of the plot calls into question Bosches integrity as a person on death row say he‘s innocent & Bosch planted the evidence that put him away.

Another wild Friday night!

I realized two things listening to this audiobook. One, Titus Welliver seems to turn pages more loudly than other narrators, and two, I read some of the later books first then started from the beginning and now that I'm catching up I think that things are being repeated from previous novels when in reality, they haven't yet happened. I would be a crummy time traveler; I can barely keep track of the present. But this was a fine Bosch installment.

One of my favorites in the series so far! We've got a new DNA report casting doubt on one of Bosch's murder convictions from 20 years ago (and you just know he's not about to let that slide), plus a recent double homicide in a pharmacy that ties into the opioid epidemic. Excellent, excellent storytelling.

I haven‘t read the Bosch novels in order, usually due to finding them in a second-hand shop and deciding to pick them up on a whim. However, this one was, once again, fantastic. I love Bosch‘s relationship with SFPD and how his partnerships, both new and old, form around him. It‘s also nice to see the origin story of Elizabeth Clayton, as well as how absolutely heartbreaking it is. I can tell that I‘m going to be a fan of Connelly for a long time.

Book #20 in the Harry Bosch series. Harry isn‘t done yet! His first time going undercover almost takes him out due to a mistake. Meanwhile a previous case closed with the killer on death row for 30 years brings Harry & all of his convictions into question.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I am enjoying it! I can't wait to read more by him.

Heard the new season that dropped today is based on this so I‘m going to speed read, then couch potato.

Agh! I‘m so excited! This latest season is based on the most recent Bosch book. Sadly Mickey Haller won‘t be making an appearance. Apparent it‘ll set up the next season, which will be based in part on Dark Sacred Night, minus Ballard I‘m assuming.

Not my usual kind of read but I‘ve enjoyed the tv series, and my wife recommended this one. Good writing, interesting characters and story, but the resolution felt like a bit of a cheat. Is that the way these Bosch books usually go?

The need for redemption comes in all kinds of ways at all kinds of times.

Really enjoyed this book which follows detective Bosch as he tries to clear his name and solve a murder case at the same time. Well written with plot twists to keep you hanging until the end

Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch novels have been a favourite of mine since I discovered them many, many years ago. This was another solid entry in the series and it was a pleasure to read. I love that Bosch hasn't changed much after all these years and Connelly's writing is still as enjoyable now as when I first read them. #60of2018

My birthday is on Sunday and Hubs didn‘t know what to get me so he told me to pick out all the books I want and order them. So far I‘ve only picked three books, a Hedwig coffee mug and a Harry Potter Funko pop. This isn‘t as fun as it should be! 😂😝😂

As a palate cleanser between heftier novels, this was fine. But I found myself bored with the plot and uninterested in Bosch‘s point of view about any of it. An okay library pick.

4 years ago I sat on my couch for an entire summer and read the entire Harry Bosch series, followed by The Lincoln Lawyer series. I've read almost every book that Michael Connelly has written. I love Harry Bosch. I'd recommend this book to anyone, but it wasn't my favorite in the series. Mickey irritated me, and I wish Bosch wouldn't always wind up in trouble with the LAPD. Still, I'll be eagerly awaiting the next Harry Bosch in the series.

I have followed Michael Connelly since Concrete Blonde, I love everything he writes. I never have to read the flap I know I will love it whether it is HarryBosch, or Lincoln Lawyer I even loved his new one in Late Show. Wow I am feeling my age I just can't remember character names as well as I used to. Anyway if Michael wrote it or blurbs it I read it.

I love Harry Bosch — both in the book and in the series. It thrills me that Titus Welliver reads the audiobooks. This is a typical Bosch case, except he goes undercover. This novel‘s central case deals with the opiate epidemic, while a side case, involving an old conviction, brings in Mickey Haller to help.

Great to be back in Bosch's company but if another sentence begins "Bosch knew..." I think I'll bang my head against a wall. I hate being critical when the plot, the characterisation and writing are such a joy.

Classic Harry Bosch. Tight, well constructed saga of parallel stories with predictable outcomes, i.e. veteran detective Harry comes out ahead, but not without a struggle. Still one of the best police procedural series. If only Connelly could keep his thoughts about our president to himself. They add nothing to the story & I‘m certain Harry Bosch would agree.

Not my favorite Bosch novel but definitely not the worst. It was a pretty fast book, even for an audio, but not 100% memorable. Three different plots going on at once - 2 minor, one important, and a guest appearance by Mickey Haller.

OMG, HARRY, you don‘t just leave a $1,500 bottle of bourbon on porch ledge. An earthquake could come along and then what..I love you, you adorable tool.

People need to learn that you don‘t fuck with Bosch. It‘ll end badly for all involved. #michaelconnelly #harrybosch

I really hope Titus re-records the whole series because he is Bosch and I just...this man‘s voice is basically sex.

Bosch is back in true Harry style. He goes undercover to solve a double murder. I‘m the meantime, a death row inmate is about to be released, trashing Harry in the process. Mickey Haller is called on to assist to clear Harry‘s name. Harry‘s kindness really shines in this book and makes you love the grouchy old cop even more. 💜💜💜

Solid crime and legal thriller featuring Bosch and Haller.

How does Michael Connelly do it? I've read all of his books and this latest entry in the Harry Bosch series is excellent. It even features Harry's half brother Mickey Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer. Good stuff!

This was an excellent addition to the Bosch world. I've always loved Bosch's personal growth and how he's aged. He‘s become so self aware about his own biases and how he deals with it. Here, there are 2 major plots and 1 minor one. The 2 big mysteries aren't related but it goes to his past and his present and how they intertwine. Both were well plotted and satisfying. And, for some reason, it cracks me up when Bosch uses his smartphone.

Bought this book from one of my favorite authors and I'm gonna hold out till I can get the audio version later today because it's in the voice of Titus Welliver the most excellent actor who plays Harry Bosch in a tv series and is the main character of the Bosch detective series. I own all of Michael Connellys books and look forward to devouring this one!

Connelly and Bosch are still the best.

I‘m not sure I‘m physically able to not love a Bosch novel. Another great, engaging book. Titus Welliver makes the perfect Bosch.

Another great addition to the Bosch series. Get exactly what you expect from these 👍 good plane reading.

I waited as long as I could, but I can't have the new Bosch novel on my Kindle and not read it, even though I wonder how many more there will be. Cruella leggings are the perfect accompaniment to my all-time favorite series.
