This was a recommendation from a friend, and it was very good. I read it in one day! Allie is a 15 year old girl, and Bea is a 70 something widow, and, through a series of painful and terrible circumstances, they find themselves together going on an adventure. Though there are some dark themes, the story never gets too graphic, and it isn't uncomfortable to read. Overall, a good pick.

1. Either but single POV is easier to follow.
2. No
3. Definitely a mood-reader.

This was a story about two lost people finding themselves together. It was a nice story, but I personally found it pretty slow. An okay read, but I wasn‘t pulled in. Three and a half stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

This was a pleasant enough book but I didn‘t get emotionally attached to the characters and I worried a lot about the cat (who was fine - not a spoiler). I did enjoy the descriptions of the places they visited, very evocative. 3/5

This book was great. Lots of emotions felt during this read. I loved the complex characters. The two main characters are thrown together due to difficult life circumstances. The unlikely pair learn from each other as they travel up the west coast. I couldn‘t stop reading. I had to know what kind of trouble they were going to get into next. I say ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While I enjoyed the story overall, Bea was not someone I'd care to invite into my life. The book does make you walk away thinking about how close so many of actually are to being homeless, even as we appear to be on solid ground.

The kitties and I are back at it this morning! Working my way through Allie and Bea for a bit before work to get another hour in towards my #24in48 #readathon goal of 12 hours. I'll be cutting it close, but we'll see how it goes.

A sweet tale of a road trip, friendship, & finding one‘s self along the way. I had trouble connecting with Bea at the beginning, but liked Allie right away. There was a comfort and ease to this book, & there are several scenes that ponder life‘s bigger issues that readers may find a bit cloying, but sometimes you just need to read a feel good book, & this definitely falls into that category!
