pickLauren Sullivan caused quite a #scandal when she ran away from her Quiverfull community...but she also paved the way for Rachel Walker to do the same thing. I absolutely adore this story of two young women searching for themselves and taking control of their own lives. Highly recommended! #NewYearNewYou

I have waited to read this for so long because I could not find a copy through my local libraries. I finally see it pop up for order as I was doing the YA order so I order it for my branch. Ironically, I take a road trip and stop by a larger library system to get a library card so I can do ebooks only to discover that they have a copy of this in their ebook collection! Lol oh well at least I finally get to read it and it‘s available to my patrons!
I just finished "Devoted", and it reminds me to be thankful that I have the ability to make my own choices about my life. Having someone else control your choices is an awful experience, and I don't want to take anything for granted.
Anyway, happy Thanksgiving everyone, and happy reading ?
pickLoved this book and finished it on the plane! The ending left me wanting so much more and to learn more but it was beautiful and wonderful.

Seeing @Shortstack post and @Texreader response to my thoughts on it reminded me that I heard this book recommended on @bookriot Get Booked last week and really wanted to read it (and mentioned it to my sister as well) even if I'm not sure if it will ultimately make me angry that this is reality for some people.
pickAnother read in one sitting! It brought up some things I didn't think about if you were encountering the "secular" world for the first time. I liked this.
