"The girls I dream of are the gentle ones, wistful by high windows or singing sweet old songs at the piano, long hair drifting, tender as apple blossom. But a girl who goes into battle beside you and keeps your back is a different thing, a thing to make you shiver."
I was excited to read a ya nonfiction book about this topic and had high hopes, but it read a little like a textbook to me. I just never got into it.
I love Kamala Khan and all of her adventures! This series doesn't let up on the fun!
I give this a so-so. It was good, but not as creepy or atmospheric as I was looking for. Very character driven, but not much plot wise.
I really enjoyed this! A quick read, an unreliable narrator, some unsettling moments! Yes!
Another read in one sitting! It brought up some things I didn't think about if you were encountering the "secular" world for the first time. I liked this.
I read this book in one sitting and way into the night which hasn't happened in a long while! Creepy, funny, and great!
The book had some charming and intriguing moments but a slow build and some slow moments for me.
I enjoyed this book because I enjoy that kind of hysteria, witch trials type story.
Curling up with Spillover this evening.
