⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Toole‘s Pulitzer-winning comic opus, A Confederacy of Dunces, is one of my most favorite novels. Sadly, his life ended at age 31. The Neon Bible, published posthumously, was written when he was just 16 for a contest. It‘s a teen boy‘s stream-of-consciousness #bildungsroman. David‘s a bit of a lost soul whose family is going through 1930s tough times. Oddly funny yet profoundly sad. It‘s no Dunces, obvs, but it‘s a solid read.

Wow. I didn‘t know to expect with this book. Just “Wow”. Definitely a hidden gem that I‘m so glad I found. A 5 Star read!

Starting this one today, while continuing to binge watch ‘The Zoo‘. Love the show so much, if you get Animal Planet I highly recommend it 👍🏻 (they‘re putting a snake in quarantine right now)

britt_brooke @AlaMich The editions I own are so colorful I‘ve been posting some every day with these color prompts. 😁 But, yes, I‘m a big fan. Coincidentally, Player Piano is one I‘ve not read yet. Planning to complete his novels this year. I think that and Jailbird are the ones I have left. 7y

The rest are from Goodwill. Pretty stoked about the like-new copy of Lord of the Flies I snagged for 1.99. It's one of my favorites yet I did not own a copy.
