A Woman's Work | 
pickListening to Michelle Obama‘s memoir has reminded me of Harriet Harman‘s. I read this when it first came out a few years ago but I think about it often. It‘s incredible hearing her journey, starting out as only a handful of women in government, she campaigned for an equality bill and working mothers and women of sexual violence. It‘s amazing to think what current female MPs have gone through to get to government so they can help the rest of us.

Harman on the entrenched opposition within a supposedly radical party to attempts to reform selection policies to get more women into parliament.
It's 💯 years today since the first women in the UK got the vote. And the radio is full of discussion about women participating in politics along with the sexism and abuse that women MPs still face.
