Free 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽Love this series! ❣️❣️❣️❣️
This book is not on Litsy yet, but being published in January. I promised myself I‘ll read it during the Hols. I read NetGalley books in order according to pub date, and it was next in line until I requested a bunch of books. Still keeping my own promise of reading it now 😊 @Andrew65 Lady in red alert!! 🤣
The protagonist, Lottie, pushes everything to the max- her work- personal life- and even her health when it comes to doing her job. This storyline is fresh with believable characters who step off the page with heart wrenching truths, and real life drama. The crimes are as different as the detective and will keep you guessing and glued to the next page. Definitely worth your reading time.
Day 17, I think 😅 I don‘t like this game anymore, @Andrew65 running out of days #Top20stories #20series20days This is the newest of the series on my list, and I absolutely love this! Patricia‘s story is also both sad and uplifting, how her husband died and then she started writing for real, and I can only thank her for taking writing this seriously 😍
Love 💕 Do I need to say more? Such a great start to a new to me series. Wow! Can‘t believe I hadn‘t heard of it only a few weeks back. Must read for crime/detective/thriller fans! Great, flawed female lead with a sad past. Set in the fictional town of Rugmullin in Ireland. Captivating story, couldn‘t put down the book. Hard to believe this is yet again another book that was rejected over and over again by publishers.
Anyone read this series? It sounds good! Look at the cover @Andrew65
This was a really interesting read and a great first book in the series. The plot was pacy with lots of clever twists. I figured out some of them but there were a couple that still took me by surprise. The story itself was interesting and the ending was good but left you wanting more. It wasnt the happiest of endings but it fitted with the story and everything that had happened. 4*
It's so rare that the library actually has the first book in a series without having to place a hold first, let alone the next several books in order...which I then accidentally shuffled out of order for this picture. I couldn't pass up checking them all out even knowing I won't get through them all before they're due. Plus they look so pretty stacked up.
This is the D.I. Lottie Parker series by Patricia Gibney.

*Everything but the Girl were formed in Hull, East Yorkshire, in 1982. This is one of my favourite tracks - I could listen to it on loop*
This was an interesting, though very drawn out, mystery. Most of the time I couldn't stand the protagonist, which makes me wonder how much that affects someone's rating of a book? The Irish setting was enhanced greatly by listening to this being read in a gorgeous Irish lilt. #murdermystery
❄️❄️❄️Pikachu and I are snuggled up in bed with a book and a DS. It‘s cooooold outside today and I don‘t plan on leaving the house at all. ❄️❄️❄️
Mystery thriller involving a series of murders in Ireland. Irish author, Irish setting. Past + present timelines. The MC is Detective Inspector Lottie Parker -> I LOVE HER. She's no-nonsense and good at her job, but she comes with some baggage in her personal life. The author fuses Lottie's life and work splendidly. The crime scenes are a little dark and the book is long-ish, but I'm excited to continue the series.
🎧: GREAT on audio
The story is a bit longer than your average thriller, which only contributes to the richness of the plot without slowing down the pace. The switches between the past and present are well executed and only add to the intrigue as well. There are definitely a lot of disturbing and twisted details and reveals along the way! I will be looking forward to the next book in this series.

I loved this book on audio! A complex female character as a detective inspector. The book is dark, certainly not a cozy, but right up my alley. It just came out this year; I hope there is a second in the series (with the same narrator).
Got these for 2$ on audible ❤️❤️❤️😱😱📚👏👏
Sadly, not my favorite. I just didn't connect with the characters or the writing. With so many good reviews I had high hopes but was just all round disappointed.
In working two murder cases, Lottie Parker is digging up terrible secrets. Secrets that some people would do anything to keep.
I received an eARC of this book from Netgalley. It was electrifying. Trigger warning, though, there is pedophilia and child abuse.
This is a excellent debut novel from Patricia gibney. Set in Ragamullin Ireland a woman is found strangled in a cathedral. Hours later another one is found hanging. The two bodies have the same tattoo. The woman Susan Sullivan is a planning officer. The story is connected by a old children's home called st Angela's. DI Lottie Parker is set to investigate .
This was an excellent book that I got engrossed from very 1st page. Out March 16th.
