#poetrymatters March 21: mistake
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost, another one of my favorite poets.
#februaryfeels - today‘s “in the woods” prompt immediately brought to mind Robert Frost‘s poem “The Road Not Taken.”

I'm going punny for today's #sizzlinsummerbooks prompt #ice #frost ❄️ plus a cameo by the princess who gave me the cold shoulder when I wouldn't share my cookies 🍪🐶❤️ #centerofattention #dogsoflitsy
"Two road diverged in a yellow wood, / And sorry I could not travel both..." #robertfrost Spotted the other day on my bike in (where else?) Vermont. Why I love the 802.
“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one‘s definition of your life; define yourself.” -- Robert Frost, born on this date
March 10: The Road Not Taken - Nothing annoys more than the popular interpretation of this poem. #LitsyPoetry365
Published on this day in 1923. I generally don't enjoy poetry, but I am a fan of Frost's works. 🌳❄️🌑
1961 Robert Frost at Kennedy's Inauguration
It was a cold windy snowy day. Frost wrote Dedication specifically for the occasion. The sun blinded him, the wind shook the paper he was holding. So Frost then recited from memory his 1941 poem The Gift Outright.
Those words! So appropriate in 1941 when penned, 1961 when recited, and today. What are we withholding? What can we give? #poetry #inauguration
Got to see Robert Frost's house in southern Vermont. He was quite a character! Definitely not the softie your high school English teacher would have you believe he was. 😂
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference"
