Forgot I finished this yesterday! Really enjoyable book and I look forward to reading the next one. If you enjoy smart and strong women going against society then this would be a pick for you!

This week has been a roller coaster but I‘ve been enjoying this book on my work drive.
Oh and my mom got a puppy. Enjoy this cute face. 🐶
I‘ve been listening to this book and I just got to a part that makes me want to sit in my car, never mind that it‘s below freezing outside.
I went with my family to see Bentleyville tonight. This is my nephew being silly inside a huge ornament of lights.
This was Book #38—an ARC I picked up a couple of years ago at BEA—in my quest to read down my TBR pile by 50 books. Set in 1907 New York, it‘s the story of Dr. Genevieve Summerford, a newly minted doctor (psychiatrist to be exact). One of her patients is accused of murder. Was it Summerford‘s advice? Is the woman actually the perpetrator? A dash of mystery, an old flame, NYC in the early 1900s & you have a fun story. Good but not great.
Book one of 2018 complete! Enjoyed it not just for the who done it, but also for the psychological mystery. First time using the Libby app. Loved it. Perfect for vacation!
Ok, gotta buckle down now. I‘m leading a discussion on this book on Wednesday, meaning I really should finish it. I‘ve enjoyed the few chapters I‘ve read so far!
I promise, I wanted to like this book. I tried, I got halfway through, and realized I didn't like any of the characters, and didn't really care if they solved their problems or not. Which is a pity, because it had so much potential!
Enjoyable mystery set during the Progressive Era in NYC. A young female doctor has just started a psycho-therapy practice when one of her patients is accused of murder.
An #engaging read for those who like #murder #mystery. I like the old #NewYork setting. Dr. Genevieve Summerford specialized in #psychotherapy and she is determined to prove her patient's innocence who is accused of murder. #historicalfiction #pageturner #greatread
Kirkus said A DEADLY AFFECTION is "full of dark secrets and fascinating intrigue" in its starred review! We love how gorgeous this cover looks!
Interesting characters, intriguing mystery, unusual premise. Good solid read.
A cozy day: coffee in a thick diner mug, pumpkin biscotti, and a cozy mystery. #perfection Truly life is perfect at this moment. (Also the cat is asleep on Mr JSW-who is also asleep- and so the house is quiet and my lap is my own!) #BLISS
This, exactly. Trained as a counselor, I can tell you.... everyone wants to know you understand, really understand, their pain. This book is promising.
Today's goals. We have a Halloween party to go to tonight so I need to get to reading!
One of my highly anticipated fall releases! 🙆🏻 This is about Dr. Genevieve Summerford, a psychiatrist whose patient is arrested for murder in 1907. She doubts her skill as a clinician and is confronted with a secret about this patient.
It sounds like EVERYTHING I love: women in the mental health field 💜, mystery 🕵🏻♀️, and morally grey 🤔 ethical issues. This is another book in my September Book Haul video 📚📽 which is on my channel now! 💕
Reading an advance copy is never about the pretty cover, or the fancy type. It's the joy of reading a book before anyone else. Lol. #mystery #historical #advancecopy #arcaugust
