After texting me by mistake, this guy decided to call me, just to make sure I wasn't messing with him. Lol 🙄 I'm disappointed he called, because I was about to text him an amusing gif. 😜

GypsyKat Also, I know this isn't book related, but I had to share it! 😊 7y
BookishMarginalia 😂😂😂 7y
IamIamIam 😂 This is excellent!!! I invited a stranger to dinner for mother's day once!!! At least you got a kick out of it! 👏👏 7y

GypsyKat @IamIamIam Haha! Did they actually come? 😂😂😂 7y
IamIamIam LOL, no but I did say that they were welcome if they didn't have plans!!! I'm Italian, I'll feed anyone!! 🤣 7y
GypsyKat @IamIamIam Haha! I love it! 😂💗 7y
GypsyKat @BookishMarginalia @IamIamIam I actually had a worse one once; This random number texted me if I had any "tree" they really wanted some tree and we willing to pay for it. This confused me for 2 reasons. 1. We had just chainsawed a tree in our backyard that day and had been hauling pieces of it to the curb. 2. I did not realize that "tree" was slang for pot. I almost texted them back saying "sure, there's piles of tree by the curb, help yourself!? 7y
IamIamIam BWAHAHAHAHA, that's excellent!!!!! And soak informative... i had NO idea!!! 🤣 7y
BethM lol I also had one where a girl was convinced I was messing with her boyfriend and talking very much like he is involved in the lifestyle of my clients. After I got over my "oh shit one of my probationers didn't get my personal number right" moment I blocked her versus informing her that she was actually speaking to law enforcement. It would have been entertaining but probably also unprofessional lol. 7y
GypsyKat @BethM Haha! Oh wow, you could have messed with her so bad! I mean, obviously that would have been wrong, but fun to think about! 🤣 7y
BethM @GypsyKat right?' I definitely played the convo out in my head just for my own giggles. 7y
GypsyKat @BethM I bet! Kudos on taking the high road, even though it's less fun sometimes. 😂 7y
Hollie I once had a # one digit off from a drug dealer, which made for some interesting messages! 7y
monkeygirlsmama Hilarious! Also your follow up comment made me laugh out loud. 🤣 7y
Smangela 😂😂😂 your responses are practically perfect in every way 7y
GypsyKat @Hollie Haha! I can only imagine! 7y
GypsyKat @monkeygirlsmama Haha! Thank you! I'm happy to spread the laughter! 😊 7y
GypsyKat @Smangela Why, thank you! That's one of the reasons I felt I could share this here. 🙃 That, and the fact that Litsy is full of the best people. 😊 7y
readinginthedark I got a text once meant for someone named Krystal, and when the texter found out I wasn't Krystal, he or she started trying to talk to me, obviously wanting some kinds of "favors." ?But what bothered me the most was the horrid spelling and grammar. ? 7y
GypsyKat @readinginthedark Haha! I hate it when people use 'u' instead of 'you' and I know some adults who, for some unknown reason, insists on spelling 'what' as 'wut' 🙄 I mean I am not typically a good speller. I'm dyslexic, and spelling has always been hard for me. But I try! Lol 7y
readinginthedark @GypsyKat Oh yeah! Those drive me crazy, too! 7y

Is anyone else's Good Reads challenge total wrong? I've only read 17 and seeing 18 makes me cranky. I know it's a bug they're working on (not a problem with the "read by" date - I checked) but it annoys me to see the wrong total ?

julesG Mine only shows me the covers of 21 books but I've read more. Let's hope they can find the bug soon. 8y
Notafraidofwords I find it really annoying. 8y
cariashley Me too! It's showing 1 more than I actually read. But the covers are right on the app and desktop (they weren't for a while). I emailed them about it a couple months ago and they said they were aware and fixing it, but that hasn't happened. It's really irritating. 😠 8y

Reviewsbylola Mine was messing up for over a month but it seems to have been correct for the past few weeks. 8y
jenniferw88 If your Amazon and Goodreads accounts are linked the book is automatically added to your read shelf when you finish it. And if the book has a different cover to the one you added manually and if you update this version as read too then you get two copies on your read shelf. CHECK FOR DOUBLES! 8y
enidkeaner Nope mine is showing correctly - I read 25 so far and that's what it shows 8y
MaleficentBookDragon Sometimes it puts a book in there twice for me. So annoying. 8y
Smrloomis @jenniferw88 that's a good idea but mine aren't linked. @enidkeaner it works for some accounts I know, just not mine @MaleficentBookDragon @cariashley @Notafraidofwords @julesG maybe ours will be fixed soon since @Reviewsbylola's is correct now - there's hope! 8y

Mehso-so

This starts out slow and it took me until about a third of the way through until I actually started to get into the story. Some action begins at this point, but unfortunately it never reached an exciting level for me. The plot itself was predictable and I had things figured out quickly. There was really no suspense hanging over the story either which I would expect in any mystery novel. Two crucial elements failing for me left things very flat.

Megabooks Great review! 8y
