Bookbabe in the wild....I took sometime this weekend to go to NYC with a friend. As many times as I‘ve been to the city (I live 3 hrs away) I never ventured there at Christmas. I found these two at the Dollar Store. Cute stories. I‘ve always loved The Nutcracker. And I can‘t help but think of the movie Prancer when I read Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus. Prancer was my favorite Christmas movie growing up.

I'm putting together a presentation/lesson/activity centered around the editorial "Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus" and I remembered that the New York Public Library's digital collection is immense. Found an entire collection from 1896 called Street Views of NYC. Perfectly encapsulates how Virginia would have seen her world!
