2024 in review. Bomb ass year if I say so myself.
Not high scorers here unfortunately. The Stormwalker series are pretty much fluff with some action but too much sex (🙄) and some cringy, awkwardly sexist dialogue between the mains.
The Webb book was a disappointment for me. I‘ve always loved her various series (dark, gritty), but even though this is a fairly recent one, it felt more like a beginning effort from an author just getting her feet wet. 😔
My #thirdquarter summary for #booked2020.
20. Gothic Horror - Mexican Gothic was a so-so
4. Set in Hollywood - Chasing Starlight was a pick
23. New in 2020 - Daring the Duke was a pick
21. Set in India - A Passage to India was a pan
Only five more prompts left for me and I think I‘ll get at least two next month!
https://www.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/2019/71004875 this will soon be 70! I‘ll finish my current read today!
Here‘s my list for the #netgalley #reviewathon! I am going to finish up the one library book I‘m reading today and the focus on these. I think I‘m going to start with Recursion.
I‘m in!!! Challenges are good motivators for me, so I‘m in for this one. My goal is 20 reviews during the 5 1/2 weeks.
I got two in today!!!! 🥅 🥅 #Reviewathon
Guess who spent the entire work day getting caught up on #NetGalley reviews instead of doing the job the pay me for?
Still have some more to write but the backlog is gone, ratio is back up and I can breathe again.
*Insert sigh of relief here*
The year is almost done and here are some of my favorite books that I read in 2018.
The Fall of Gondolin. One of my favorite stories from my all time favorite author.
The Library at Mount Char. Really. Messed. Up.
Equal Rights. Granny Weatherwax is awesome!
Wizard and Glass. Roland's back story was great.
Anne of Green Gables. It is impossible to not like Anne.
Midwinter Blood. Does true love carry on through multiple lifetimes?
Those of you who review books for #NetGalley, what have been your experiences? I‘ve been doing it for several months and have enjoyed it. Just wondering what others experiences have been. Any tips you can give out to us who are new?
According to @BarbaraTheBibliophage, Litsy is not doing so well in terms of ranking as the best book apps on both the Apple Store and Google Play store. She's asking if you could rate and review the app if you haven't done so already. I just did it on Google Play.

Just when I thought I might be able to get control of my reading and TBR lists....#NetGalley has me caught in their crosshairs! I need to step away from my computer...already have 6 books waiting for me! 🤓
If you need some entertainment that is not book related, check out the #rateaspecies hashtag on Twitter. Zoos and scientists are rating species as if they are amazon products and they are hilarious.
Less books than last year but more pages! I‘ve obvious learning towards heavier tomes! #goodreadsreadingchallenge2017
@Cinfhen congratulations on your 200K milestone!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Here are a few of my #PickPanBailSoSo books I read this year. I hope to give Gone with the Wind another shot one day but I just couldn't get into it this year. #ThankYou for another #giveaway!!
November book totals: 4. BUT Prairie Fires by Caroline Fraser and The Fireman by Joe Hill were not exactly "quick" reads.
