Not high scorers here unfortunately. The Stormwalker series are pretty much fluff with some action but too much sex (🙄) and some cringy, awkwardly sexist dialogue between the mains.

The Webb book was a disappointment for me. I‘ve always loved her various series (dark, gritty), but even though this is a fairly recent one, it felt more like a beginning effort from an author just getting her feet wet. 😔

My #thirdquarter summary for #booked2020.
20. Gothic Horror - Mexican Gothic was a so-so
4. Set in Hollywood - Chasing Starlight was a pick
23. New in 2020 - Daring the Duke was a pick
21. Set in India - A Passage to India was a pan
Only five more prompts left for me and I think I‘ll get at least two next month!

Cinfhen Woohoo 🙌🏻💕This is your #OfficialThirdQuarterEntry 🎊🎊🎊

Here‘s my list for the #netgalley #reviewathon! I am going to finish up the one library book I‘m reading today and the focus on these. I think I‘m going to start with Recursion.

I‘m in!!! Challenges are good motivators for me, so I‘m in for this one. My goal is 20 reviews during the 5 1/2 weeks.

I got two in today!!!! 🥅 🥅 #Reviewathon

MelissaSue81 I am so in for this!! I have like 8 books to review!! 5y
The_Heeler_Booklife I have 100 some arcs to read. I‘m going to need to read a ton to boost my review ratio. 5y

Well-ReadNeck @allthingskayla I‘ve so been there. My biggest problem is that I can never catch up when I won‘t stop requesting!!! 😂 5y

Guess who spent the entire work day getting caught up on #NetGalley reviews instead of doing the job the pay me for?
Still have some more to write but the backlog is gone, ratio is back up and I can breathe again.
*Insert sigh of relief here*

DGRachel I am so behind with reading stuff on NetGalley it‘s not even funny. 😔 6y
Birdsong28 @DGRachel Me too 🤦🙆 6y
FantasyChick @DGRachel @Birdsong28 I'm pretty up to date with the reading but it's reviewing that gets me. Some of the ones I reviewed today I read months ago. I need a better system 😑 6y

DGRachel I‘m good about reviewing right after I finish. I just need to actually read this stuff. I‘m such a mood reader that I find myself clicking read now on a bunch of stuff when they send me emails, but by the time I finish whatever I‘m currently reading, I no longer feel compelled to read the NetGalley backlist. 😔 I need stop hitting that button. 6y
Well-ReadNeck 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 6y
Traci1 I really need to get caught up. I think I'm about at 80%, but I have a few that are 3 months or so behind. 6y

The year is almost done and here are some of my favorite books that I read in 2018.
The Fall of Gondolin. One of my favorite stories from my all time favorite author.
The Library at Mount Char. Really. Messed. Up.
Equal Rights. Granny Weatherwax is awesome!
Wizard and Glass. Roland's back story was great.
Anne of Green Gables. It is impossible to not like Anne.
Midwinter Blood. Does true love carry on through multiple lifetimes?

StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Love your picks! 6y

Those of you who review books for #NetGalley, what have been your experiences? I‘ve been doing it for several months and have enjoyed it. Just wondering what others experiences have been. Any tips you can give out to us who are new?

wellreadredhead I love it. I can usually get copies of books I‘m dying to read before their release dates. I always try not to request too many though. Only those I‘m really excited about because I don‘t want to get too overwhelmed with the amount I haven‘t gotten to yet! 7y
Debiw781 Try to get your reviewing percentage up as that‘s a big key to getting approvals. 7y
Well-ReadNeck I love it! Also, I can‘t stop myself from requesting books!!!!!!!! 7y
Samplergal @Debiw781 Thanks. I‘ve reviewed a couple of children‘s books to do just that! Thanks. 7y
Samplergal @Well-ReadNeck LOL. Me too! 7y

According to @BarbaraTheBibliophage, Litsy is not doing so well in terms of ranking as the best book apps on both the Apple Store and Google Play store. She's asking if you could rate and review the app if you haven't done so already. I just did it on Google Play.

Just when I thought I might be able to get control of my reading and TBR lists....#NetGalley has me caught in their crosshairs! I need to step away from my computer...already have 6 books waiting for me! 🤓

Insightsintobooks I completely agree! 7y
Soubhiville Ha! I see folks with all these great ARCs, and I think of joining NetGalley, then I look at my current TBR shelf, and come to my senses. I hope you find some amazing reads though!!! 7y
Alfoster Yup! But now you‘re hooked like the rest of us...there‘s no going back!😂 7y

Bookladylinda I need to finish signing up for NetGalley but I‘m a little scared, 😬 7y
AceOnRoam Haha. Sucks you right in... 7y
DreesReads I absolutely hate reading on a phone/computer screen (I get horrible headaches), so I‘ve been able to avoid netgalley! 7y
kezzlou85 I love Netgalley but it's so easy to get hooked in and end up with lots of books to read. Oops. Got quite a few to read. 7y
Christine11 I have so many netgalley books to read and yet I keep requesting more! It‘s so hard to resist 😝🤣 7y
StephanieGeiser @Bookladylinda I‘m in the same boat as you! 😂😂😂 7y

If you need some entertainment that is not book related, check out the #rateaspecies hashtag on Twitter. Zoos and scientists are rating species as if they are amazon products and they are hilarious.

Less books than last year but more pages! I‘ve obvious learning towards heavier tomes! #goodreadsreadingchallenge2017

Reviewsbylola 🎉🎉🎉 looks like quite a few five star! 7y
Mitch @Reviewsbylola Yeah! Think I was a bit more fussy this year and careful with my choosing! Life‘s too short and books too plentiful for one the one 🌟 to survive ! 7y

@Cinfhen congratulations on your 200K milestone!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Here are a few of my #PickPanBailSoSo books I read this year. I hope to give Gone with the Wind another shot one day but I just couldn't get into it this year. #ThankYou for another #giveaway!!

Andrew65 I need to read 7y
Cinfhen I've been meaning to read the Jesse Burton book for the longest time ~ maybe in 2018😍and I FINALLY read #GWTW this year, but I gotta admit...it wasn't easy😉without my lovely Dargusch Girls rooting for me, I probably would have bailed too😜 7y
Reviewsbylola I loved Lies She Told and GWTW, but I agree with your so-so 💯 7y

November book totals: 4. BUT Prairie Fires by Caroline Fraser and The Fireman by Joe Hill were not exactly "quick" reads.
