This year‘s Jólabókaflóð book exchange! My husband: Die Hard ?, me: Harry Potter 5 illustrated!!! my kids: Crayons Saved Christmas and Uni the Unicorn. We‘ve celebrated this tradition since visiting Iceland in 2017 and I look forward to it every year. We opened them early because of the crazy freezing weather. Time to curl up with our books. Despite what grown-ups say little girls want to believe that Unicorns exist. No matter what adult Unicorns day young unicorns want to believe that little girls exist. These books focus on those all important girl/unicorn relationships. The message of the stories is that dreams can come true if you just believe. A delightful duo to share with young children who dare to dream magically! 🦄

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because who wouldn‘t love a book about a magical unicorn (who believes little girls are real)?

Don't mind me, I'm just going down the rabbit hole of unicorn books. 🦄 😍

I've been meaning to read this one for a while, because #coverlust! Uni is different from other unicorns in that she believes that the mythical human child actually exists. 😊It's a cute reversal. I could see children being disappointed if they don't have the sequel immediately on hand. Which I'm going to go read now. 😂

The illustrations are adorable, and while this is certainly not Amy Krouse Rosenthal‘s best, it is going to appeal to anyone who loves unicorns, which is probably a large percentage of her audience. 😂

Wonderful! This is a beautifully illustrated story about a sweet Unicorn that believes in little girls despite all the other unicorns saying girls don‘t exist. This is a library book that will end up being purchased as my daughter loves it! 💚 4🌟

3. “Uni the Unicorn.” It would‘ve been my favorite if it‘d existed when I was a kid, & Amy Krouse Rosenthal was a treasure. I‘m linking to her utterly heartbreaking, “You May Want to Marry My Husband,” which she wrote in anticipation of her early death from cancer at the age of 51, & also to a memorial written by her friend, Dave Eggers - both in the comments.

When you go shopping to buy a present for one of your "kids", and you end up buying for all of them. ?

We found this for our five year old daughter. Told from the Uni the Unicorn's perspective, she believes little girls are real even if the other unicorns don't. Every time we read this my little girl gets so excited. She says, " I'm a little girl, Little girls are real!!!"

This book is absolutely adorable. Uni the unicorn believes in little girls and she's sticking to it. The story is touching and the art is delightful. I got this for a friend's daughter but I may need to get this for my own daughters as well. 🦄🦄🦄.5/5 #ChildrenBooks #ChildrenFantasy #AlwaysBelieve
