Meet Spoon. He's always been a happy little utensil. But lately, he feels like life as a spoon just isn't cutting it. He thinks Fork, Knife, and The Chopsticks all have it so much better than him. But do they? And what do "they "think about Spoon? A book for all ages, "Spoon" serves as a gentle reminder to celebrate what makes us each special.

This F story would be a great storytelling for young readers. It is about a spoon and how he compares himself to his other friends like fork and knife. Little does he know they admire him for what he does. He learns at the end all of they things he should be grateful for. The UDL Principle I would choose for this book is (3.2) highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships. This will help students through the story.

LizzettM The EL strategy 11, place language in meaningful context will guide them on what the theme of the story is.

DrSpalding We saw this as a storytelling! I love it. Consulting the author website is always a wise move. Expand on what you would use there in a classroom of your own. 5y

Adorable story about a spoon who wants to be a fork or a knife because they have all the fun. Spoon learns that being a spoon is cool too and that she is special the way she is. #wannabe #90sinjuly #acceptance #kidlit

Cinfhen Sounds adorable 💕#stacked for nieces & nephews (& future grandchildren 😉) 7y
