These books aren't my favorite in the world but I do really like all the characters. The story is so original which keeps it interesting too. I'll definitely get the last in the series to finish it.
I'm so excited to read this series. My niece is almost finished and loves it.
Oriflamme, she thought. French. From the Latin, aurea flamma, "golden flame."
“Do you know what your problem is?”
"Enlighten me,” Quinn said.
Dorian hoped his grin was as violent as he felt. “You always underestimated him."
MY JASPER FEELS! MY DORIAN FEELS! MY JASPIAN FEELS! (Their ship is Jaspian, right?)
I really need to finish this. i am going so slow, tbh loved the first book but so meh right now
How many books did you read? Pages? 2 books
Will you participate in a future 24in48 readathon? YES
My boyfriend came home from a trip and listening to his trip kind of derailed me from reading all I wanted to!

This was a wonderful follow up to The Girl at Midnight! It has me eagerly waiting for book 3! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Day 1 ended at 14.5 hrs read. I can chalk up some of my wandering mind to fatigue but I do think this book comes at a slower pace compared to The Girl at Midnight. Much quieter, the plot drifts in places, and there's a rather tedious love triangle. Yet, I still love this world, the lore, and the characters. Once the plot gets moving the story takes you on a wild ride setting up what's sure to be an exciting conclusion to the series. #24in48
#24in48 Next up, the sequel to The Girl at Midnight. Been excited to read it. I will probably sleep soon and wake up to this one. 5 hours 40 mins down.
A war between ancient races descended from birds and dragons. Who will win? I suspect we'll have to wait until book three is released in a year to find out. 😉
Currently listening to this on audio!
"Inscribe that on my tombstone if it comes back to bite me in the ass."
Oh man what an intense follow-up to The Girl at Midnight. Totally different in tone, but necessarily so. I imagine the final installment will be just as intense, and I so want it right now.
"...the world is changing, and we either change with it or we perish."
Timely, important, and a theme I've seen repeated in a lot of literature I've read this year.
Good stuff
"Whenever someone said "Can we talk?" it was always followed by something deeply unpleasant. This was a universal truth."
Hi Echo, I've missed you.
I'm so excited to be reading THE SHADOW HOUR! I adored the Girl At Midnight and I am already so happy to be back in this story!!
