Great book!! Couldn‘t put it down! Very exciting.
I somehow missed this in the Detective DD Warren series. This is earlier before DD is married herself. But we don't get a lot of perspective from DD, we get more from the husband and a little from another suspect in the disappearance of a wife and mother. I enjoyed this one and did not see the twists coming. I was ready for a good old fashioned mystery.
Whew, that was so intense! I didn't know what to think most of the time and my theories bounced all over the place, which is just how I prefer my thrillers. Though it also might not be for everyone, it definitely crossed over into trigger warning territory (I'll flag one in a spoiler comment below). 4.5⭐️
I loved this book. It had an interesting cast of characters and it is one of those books that starts out with a bad crime but ends with a somewhat good resolution! Lisa Gardner is one of my favorite authors so I am trying not to be biased when I rate her books! 😊
All kinds of twists in this one!
Jason comes home to find his young wife, mother of their daughter, missing! Is it REALLY always the husband, though? Caring for their daughter while the media stands guard on their front step, readers are given the varying perspective of the media, Jason, and detectives....and a neighbor who has secrets of his own.
I loved the different character stories, and the ending was great. I definitely recommend this one!
I am loving this audiobook so much I didn‘t want to stop on my walk! I‘m so fortunate to have my deck to sit on when the weather is nice. Good Audiobooks like this one make for the perfect company.
Book 3 in the DD Warren series and it was absolutely fantastic! Such a gripping story I couldn't put it down.

I don‘t know if the end was satisfying enough with the build up, but truly all DD Warren thrillers are good.
This is the third installment of the D. D. Warren series - and another re-read that feels like the first time for me! It‘s fast-paced, with great new characters and more detail on familiar ones, too. I love Gardner‘s dialogue and realistic details. Tried to get a view of our own neighbor‘s house out the #Window - but luckily our neighbors aren‘t like these! #SpringIntoReading @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88
This was a surprisingly good read. A good phycological thriller, the only thing that bothers me is when the titles are bad, or not fitting. “The couple next door” was the same, but that‘s just me being pedantic 😂
Oooh a follow up 🕷 and a good ‘en .. kick start your day off right ... coffee & a read ..
On the 3rd book of the Detective D.D Warner series now. I'm actually really surprised how good they are. Even know it's the Detective D.D Warner series I feel these stories more about the new characters and not so much on the main character. Which I love. I find myself getting bored of other books which are a running commentary of the main character. Can wait to read the rest 😃😃
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 what is there to say?! Lisa Gardner is great! I will have to make time for more of the D.D. Series 🔥🤗
This book is awesome thus far! Although Lucia's none too thrilled as usual.. 😼😽 #catsoflitsy
I'm dying to get to some BOTM picks that I keep seeing on my feed, but my library stack is still much too big 😂 So Lisa Gardner is next up! 🏘
