So, I'm using a funny meme to deflect a bit. The fact is i'm a bit...discombobulated & frankly, yeah, people fucking suck. Since the start of Covid last year the agency I work for has had weekly all staff zoom meetings every Wednesday. The meeting for this week was rescheduled for today because Mayor Lucas of KC was scheduled to join & speak for a bit! A pretty big deal. So there's about 200 people on the call & Mayor Lucas is speaking. About 10👇
If anyone is interested here's a link to a virtual book group that I just started attending. It meets every Monday at 6:30 PM EST. We meet via Zoom, read silently for an hour, and then share what we read. The reason why I love it is that it's like SSR for adults. Hope to see some littens there and feel free to share the link with others that might want to attend.

I had a work meeting on zoom today at the exact time the maintenance crew was mowing the grass right outside my window! But no matter. I‘m still thankful that we have the ability to stay connected amidst all this distancing. #marvelousMay
Please think of me tomorrow as I dive into a new piece of technology and teaching. The students and I are having Spring Break, but May 15th is when school resumes. I have texted parents today for all three blocks for the Zoom meetings. I'm nervous about the things that could go wrong. I had to ask myself if I was willing to adapt and evolve as a teacher. And decided I am willing.
