If anyone is interested here's a link to a virtual book group that I just started attending. It meets every Monday at 6:30 PM EST. We meet via Zoom, read silently for an hour, and then share what we read. The reason why I love it is that it's like SSR for adults. Hope to see some littens there and feel free to share the link with others that might want to attend.

callielafleur I've been looking for something like this! The time is a little hard for me but I'm hoping to try to get there. Thank you for sharing! 4y
crazyspine There's also one Tuesdays and Fridays. It's the same thing, just a different host but it's also at 6:30 Eastern Standard Time. I can get you a link for that if those days work better for you. I'll probably share it on here Tuesday. 4y
LiteraryinPA This is an awesome idea! I think I‘ll try to join on Monday. 4y
crazyspine @LiteraryinLititz it's not my idea, so I can't take credit, but I hope you can join. 4y

I had a work meeting on zoom today at the exact time the maintenance crew was mowing the grass right outside my window! But no matter. I‘m still thankful that we have the ability to stay connected amidst all this distancing. #marvelousMay

JoScho Agreed! So thankful for technology now more than ever. 4y

Please think of me tomorrow as I dive into a new piece of technology and teaching. The students and I are having Spring Break, but May 15th is when school resumes. I have texted parents today for all three blocks for the Zoom meetings. I'm nervous about the things that could go wrong. I had to ask myself if I was willing to adapt and evolve as a teacher. And decided I am willing.

Mtroiano You‘re going to do great! Everyone is learning so no one expects you to do this perfectly! Praying for you ❤️ 5y
runswithscissors007 appreciate your commitment! It won't be perfect. But it doesn't have to be. 5y
Butterfinger Thanks for the prayers and encouragement @NeedsMoreBooks @Cinfhen @kezzlou85 @Mtroiano @runswithscissors007 - I only had one to show up. I'm trying not to be discouraged - it is Spring Break. I may just have to keep recording on YouTube, but I stutter and shake so much. 5y
