I'm rereading this series & loving it so far! I've missed Cass and Max-Ernest and I'm so glad to get back into this fun and quirky world of misadventures. 💚

Recently I have been reading books that my middle-grade self should have read, and I'm so glad Stargirl made the list. Sure, Stargirl is the quintessential MPDG, I enjoyed her quirkiness and her ability to be who she pleases. I would totally recommend this to fans of zany female characters like Luna Lovegood and Rapunzel. It's a pick from me!
Currently reading this cutie to try and get me out of a serious book slump. I never read this when I was younger, but picked it up a little while ago at a used book store. Figured I'd give it a shot and then pass it along!
When I heard about this book's release, I was beyond excited. Finally, a Christian coming of age novel that wasn't cheesy and didn't shy away from struggle. Unfortunately, I guess I expected too much from this novel. This is not a Christian coming of age novel- it's barely even about Christianity. In fact, a lot of the Christian aspects are inaccurate. Because of this, I found the story unrealistic, and I was really disappointed with the story.
I'm currently reading this while waiting for DHL to ship my fairyloot. I'm a little disappointed at how Christianity is being represented, but I will continue so that I can give a full review.
Probably one of my favorite pages from the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! The green is just so vivid & I do tend to gravitate towards art of eyes 😋
I'm really at a loss for words for this review. I've been writing my full review for Goodreads for four days. FOUR DAYS. A book has never left me this empty. This complete. Everything about Our Dark Duet had purpose and meaning. AND THE VERSE. UGH. This book stayed so true to its characters while also balancing the work and the action. The was so much symbolism and so much thought out into this masterpiece. Will definitely be read again.
