My Mom has been trying to get me to read this series for a while now. The #InDeathLongReadalong with @StayCurious gave me the perfect time to dig in.

We are almost through with the first, but my lack of impulse control made me finish the final chapters tonight. Can‘t wait for book #2

A story about grief, mother/daughter relationships, and the cult like beauty and skincare business.

I love the movie adaptations of all her novels. I did like this, but sometimes I felt it was quite the chore to get through her writing.

In a world where a virus infects and kills animals rendering the meat poisonous, humans are now being raised/farmed as the new supply. Trigger warnings for rape and animal abuse. I know I will be thinking about this one for a while.

Caroline says is about cuddle time.

I grew up in the 80‘s/90‘s so I had a metal phase followed by a grunge phase, but my all time favorite would have to be Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Knicks. Quite the contrast I know.

I know there has to be picture of me out there somewhere with some tight rolled jeans and some heavily hair sprayed hair.

Not a spectacular year, but read some great books!

Presents all wrapped, cookies all baked, and menu for Christmas all planned out. Sitting down enjoying Christmas movies with the family, and making Gingerbread Houses. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! Happy Holidays for all!

A very good psychological thriller. Truly had no idea what was going on until I finally figured out the big twist. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!

2/2 for this months #camplitsy reads! I‘m so glad I decided to participate in this, this summer.

I love their writing, and have enjoyed their other books. I didn‘t hate the book, and I was ok with the couple individually just not together. Can‘t wait for the #camplitsy discussion.

My birthday was last month, and I got a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. Picked up these for some easy pool/beach reads.

Starting the weekend with a new book!

My read for tonight.

I thought I figured out the big twist a little about half way through, then thought it would be too “twisted” to be right. But, turns out I was right. 😳

Taking these physical books, and a Kindle full for a week long family beach vacation. About an 10 to 11 hour long drive each way, so I should have plenty to read.

Liked this one more than I was expecting to. Trigger warnings all around.

#AuthorAMonth I can‘t express how maddening this story is. All too often this situation played out this way. I‘m ashamed I put off Baldwin‘s works until now, but so happy to correct this. 5 ⭐️

Finished this morning just in time to return to the library before the due date. Love that I‘m “rediscovering” my love of libraries.
