You know how you finish a book and have to let it simmer in your brain awhile to uncover all the feels? No need to do that here. This bad boy was an incredible page turner! My second Paul Cleave and I'm loving him.

How is it possible that this is my first Paul Cleave? I loved it!! Such a great premise for a thriller and it was engaging, complicated and thought provoking. I couldn't put it down. Jerry/Harry will be with me for a long time.

Arrived at my child's school 35 minutes prior to pick up. I plan this purposely because it's a perfect opportunity for uninterrupted reading. Well, today's new book isn't so new. I realized that I've already read it. I'm embarrassed to say how frequently I do this. Maybe my TBR stack needs a little updating. Good thing I've got the Kindle app available on my phone. Wasted time averted!

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I love to see people reading this book!!! My favorite ❤️❤️❤️ 7y

My 4th grader will be participating in the Battle of the Books for the first time this year. I thought I'd read the books she'll be assigned so that I may question her comprehension. Now here's my dilemma. Does this count towards my books read this year? Should it be included in my Moleskin journal or should it be considered more of a bedtime story and dismissed?

Ruri_kaichou I would count them. 😊 7y
DivineDiana If it‘s 4th grade, they must be chapter books. I say count them! 7y
Dogearedcopy Since you'll be paying closer attention to BOB books than you might otherwise, I would especially make sure to count them! 7y
RebL Count them. For the reasons stated by @DivineDiana and @Dogearedcopy. Also because—fun! This will mark your new phase with the kiddo. Would you count my reading of Huck Finn and Jane Eyre with my high schoolers? I bet you would. And good luck to your daughter in the competition! 7y

Another great story from Grisham. I wish it hadn't wrapped up so neatly. I prefer a grisly end. What's wrong with me?

No_One Nothing's wrong with you! ? I usually equate grisly ends with "reality" and then I wonder why I want my books to be so realistic when I'm supposed to be reading them as an escape from reality. ? 7y

It's not a bad book. It's a sweet story with great metaphors. I don't need a story to wrap up perfectly. I prefer a more realistic approach. It's a fine summer read and keeps one turning the pages, just too predictable and nicely tied up to be memorable for me.
