Time to bring out the ghost stories!
I can get behind someone who doesn't take himself too seriously. This book is legit. I am the type of person who needs instructions for everything so this is perfect for me.

My wild and crazy Friday night!! DIY margarita and the Bennetts.
My July Book Club selection! I've read this before but it was worth reading again. I love quirky stories!
My first Beatriz Williams book! Thanks to @WilliamMorrow and @Tav for the ARC.
Prohibition-era Florida and flash backs to WW1 - what a combo! While creative, I'm not sure I was ready for this. I was expecting a light and breezy beach read. It's actually pretty complex. My overall reaction is that she's a good writer-not cheesy- and can masterfully combine suspense, romance, and history for a great story.
I am going to go out on a limb and say this will be my "best book of the summer"
The cover is deceiving! I was expecting a much different book. It could just be the writing style but I was underwhelmed by the whole shebang.
"If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way." -Dr. King
"Did you know that in The Lion King, the hyenas-the bad guys- all speak either black or Latino slang? And that the little cubs are told not to go where the hyenas live? Do you realize that Scar, the villain, is darker than Mufasa?"
"Extravagant gestures between a man and woman are generally understood to be romantic, even in the context of a failed marriage."
A new favorite! Perfect for book lovers!
I keep finding passages to highlight. "In books, people were charming and friendly, and life followed a certain set of patterns. If a person dreamed of doing something, then you could almost be certain that, by the end of the book, they would almost certainly be doing that very thing."
"You've got to be something of a dreamer to enjoy books..."
Book club selection this month. We all agreed that this wasn't as good as her last book. There was so much going on and a lot left unresolved in the end. Meh. (At least the wine pairing was good!)
I never thought I'd like any writer more than Fitzgerald. I am sorry I waited so long to read this but It's like cheating on my boyfriend; I feel guilty but I can't stop.
Maybe ...if you go into it expecting it to be a character study of the things women go through and how they handle it. #marchintoreading #marchmadness
Meh. I picked this up because it was marketed as suspense. It's more of a women's fiction dealing with infidelity. Not my cup of tea.
This should not be listed as a suspense novel. I could have cared less about any of it.
I love the library. I couldn't afford my habit so I'm a frequent borrower. #marchintoreading #marchmadness #libraryhaul
