Prohibition-era Florida and flash backs to WW1 - what a combo! While creative, I'm not sure I was ready for this. I was expecting a light and breezy beach read. It's actually pretty complex. My overall reaction is that she's a good writer-not cheesy- and can masterfully combine suspense, romance, and history for a great story.

panThe cover is deceiving! I was expecting a much different book. It could just be the writing style but I was underwhelmed by the whole shebang.

so-soBook club selection this month. We all agreed that this wasn't as good as her last book. There was so much going on and a lot left unresolved in the end. Meh. (At least the wine pairing was good!)
I never thought I'd like any writer more than Fitzgerald. I am sorry I waited so long to read this but It's like cheating on my boyfriend; I feel guilty but I can't stop.

so-soMeh. I picked this up because it was marketed as suspense. It's more of a women's fiction dealing with infidelity. Not my cup of tea.
panThis should not be listed as a suspense novel. I could have cared less about any of it.
