I wish I'd read this book years ago, but I'll read it again and again going forward. Super helpful as one of my kitties was sick and then passed away. The book distinguishes that in-between space of nothingness where you're not the d identity and you're not the new identity yet.

An excellent journey of a story that's all too real for many of us. As someone with some pounds to lose and the struggle that comes with all that, I felt refreshed and gotten while reading this. Really appreciate her authentic voice.

Discovered these when I was searching for a new calendar. I love these little books - they're full of color and delightful drawings plus wise words of compassion. I gifted a couple to a friend who's going through some tough stuff.

Note: I consider myself more spiritual than religious and the God in the one book is the all-loving God that you can so replace with the term "Spirit" or "friendly universe." All love all the time. ❤️

What a lovely, lovely book. I suspect there are many Goldblatt lovers here. I initially borrowed this from the library, but it was such a delightful, heartwarming book that I've ordered a hardback of it. I'll definitely be re-reading this one over a few times in my lifetime.

It's a real story about a fake person, and more real than most.

One of my favorite recent stories.♥️

I got a new phone a few months back and forgot to reinstall Litsy (a dork move on my part, for sure), so it's been awhile since I've been here. I really love the land of Litsy. 📚♥️

Texreader I still need to read this one. On my tbr forever. And glad you are back on Litsy! 4y

I've been enjoying the Lucas Davenport series, I'm up to #20 now. They're good mysteries that take my mind off of life and they often read like a thriller movie where I'm gripping the couch in anticipation for the good ending. I've stayed up too late with these many times, which for me is a sign of a good story.

The Netflix series was good, so I thought I'd try this. The books are way better, I'm up to #7 in the series, thanks to Libby. They're quick and easy reads and very good escapes. I usually avoid books in the romance category, but I admit I'm enjoying this series. I date a veteran, and I appreciate that there are quite a few veterans in these stories.

This was a delightful find. I just wanted to live inside this story for a bit. It's about a pre-teen girl who learns about love and acceptance, essentially. I love the cover too. ♥️

This was interesting and helpful, there's a lot I didn't know about the religion of Islam and Muslim folks. Some parts are clearly written by a lawyer. Overall, interesting and recommended.

Really enjoyed this one. Appreciated learning more about elephants and how they grieve, liked the characters and the story. Couldn't put it down once I started.

JanuarieTimewalker13 I‘m reading this right now and although some of the elephant facts are heartbreaking, I‘m loving it! 5y

I'd been putting off reading this one for awhile, I was suspicious of all the hoopla around it. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Probably one of my favorite stories over the past couple of years. I cried after finishing it, and my inner curmudgeon doesn't really like to admit that.

Been mostly on GR lately (I'm kimba7 over there).

PurpleyPumpkin I'm currently reading this one. It's been sidelined by Christmas, but I fully intend to get back to it in a couple of days. Glad that you enjoyed it!👍🏽 5y

I discovered Harlan Coben after a reviewer on GR commented on another book that that book wasn't as good as the Myron Bolitar series. The library just happened to have the first 7 books in one Kindle download, which fed my reading addiction super well.

The first one was good and they got better with each one. The 7th, Darkest Fear, was quite good and had me hooked until the very end.

I can't remember how I found this one, it might have been on one of my meandering exploring of Goodreads, not sure. So far, I adore this book. I read one book and started another that it recommended, and so far they are both gems. I just wish that it had an index of ailments, not just of authors and titles. This is definitely a work of love.

Hestapleton This my “book slump” book! Even if I‘m not feeling anything it recommends, I‘m reinvigorated flipping through it‘s pages. 5y

I've always enjoyed Jennifer Weiner's writing, and this was a great read. It took me awhile to get hooked into the characters, but once I did I couldn't put the book down. I love how her characters feel so real.

I wouldn't have known about this book if it weren't for Litsy, so thank you! This was a lovely book about a fascinating topic. Karl's empathy and kindness come through loud and clear and provide a calming context for topics that might otherwise be challenging to be with.

Rereading one of my favorite books of all time, it sounds like it's had an update since I last read it. Part of why I love this book: the illustrations are wonderful and so on point.

All the Pretty Horses | Cormac McCarthy

I've determined that I can't follow along enough with fiction audiobooks. I went for a long walk today and listened to the beginning of All the Pretty Horses. But my mind wanders and then when I come back to the plot I have no idea what's going on. Non-fiction audio is fine though. The narrator's voice for this one was fabulous and such a good fit for the story.

In South San Jose there's this great trail that passes a horse ranch, it's so nice.

This was a challenge! :)

Kitchen Table Wisdom is one of my all-time favorite books, and it's one of my go-to resources when I'm dealing with a challenge. She writes with such compassion and the short little anecdotes are so interesting and heart-warming. It's quite a warm fuzzy book, I love it. 🤗♥️

These books of Kinsella‘s are torture- terrible, beautiful torture. I can only read them knowing that they‘ll have good endings. The train wreck that is inevitable is so bloody hard to watch as I read, I can hardly get through it. I even cried at the end of this one, there were a couple twists I didn‘t see coming and they made the ending even better than I‘d hoped. That I can‘t get to the end of the book fast enough is a sign of a great story.

Sometimes I read one book at a time, other times I read a few at a time. Found this one at the library but didn‘t read it before its due date, got the kindle book before I discovered Libby. We‘re going on an Alaskan cruise this summer, so I thought I‘d read something Alaska-related.

kimba7 Cute story, wasn't "hilarious" as it was described, but maybe I read it in a non-hilarious mood. That happens sometimes. 3.5 stars 5y

Just recently discovered Libby, it makes it so easy to borrow Kindle books from the library-- I feel like I've discovered a bunch of treasure. 😊

I've read most of the Jack Reacher books, so this one should be fun.

Griffin, my 16 lb cat, approves. Or, wants to mark my Kindle as his territory, or both. But he probably wants attention and food.
