Seriously loving this book so far ❤
I'm mad at myself for not reading this years ago. A very important and meaningful book that delves into the life and loves of Janie Crawford, a black woman in the 30s who longed to be her own person. This is one I'll be thinking about for a long time.

I absolutely loved this book! It's middle grade, but all ages should read and appreciate it's message of acceptance, kindness, and love for the natural world around us. The illustration are delightful, and I laughed out loud several times over the unexpectedly funny and adorable dialogue.

So much was packed into this little 62-page story: humor, terror, mystery, very enjoyable

Ok ladies (and gentlemen, and non-binary folk) now let's get in formation

Kicking off my morning #24in48 reading by standing (reading?) in solidarity with anyone participating in the #womensmarch 💖
A very detailed and thoroughly researched account of Elvis Presley's humble beginnings and rise to fame. Very fascinating, and I eagerly await the start of the 2nd volume of his biography
My 3rd read of 2017, and the first book completed for the #AtoZchallenge 🙌🏻
A truly amazing and beautiful book about the wonder, mystery, and majesty of solar eclipses. Highly recommended! Brush up on your science before the solar eclipse in August!
You know those books that make your heart race? That make you tear up with the beauty of the words on the page and the images they invoke? That cause you to suffer emotional trauma at the hands of a hardcover (in a good way)? This, my friends, is one of those books. Thank you Lily Brooks-Dalton for writing such a lovely book. I'm so happy I kicked off my 2017 reading with this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My first read of 2017! Excited to delve into this debut novel about a lonely scientist in the arctic and an astronaut trying to return to Earth
Finally finished a gosh darn book! And boy was this a good one: warring paleontologists, feminist heroine, forbidden romance, Native Americans sticking it to the white man, and some truly beautiful passages...loved it ❤️
Holy (Merri)cats, this was great!! I am so disturbed, and I mean that as a compliment
I don't know why, but I completely lost it when I got to this page (1,000,000 BCE). Tears everywhere! I can't explain it. Maybe because it's so barren; maybe because so very long ago none of us - none of this - were here. It's quite a thing to try to comprehend. Anyway, this graphic novel is super rad. Snapshots of a single corner of a room, of a same space, over thousands of years. I'll be flipping through this many times, I already know it.
That was a wild ride from start to finish! Was it kinda fan-fictiony? Yes. Did I enjoy every second of it? You bet your Granger-Weasley ass! Ron was spot-on (never change, Ron) and Scorpius Malfoy is one of my top faves in all of HP. This wasn't a perfect story, but I thought it stayed true to the core of HP: love, family, & friends will save you. I would give a limb to see this on stage, esp. the magic bits...HOW?! How is it accomplished?!?!
I had every intention of going to bed at a decent hour tonight. Then I started reading this book #soooopretty #bookwithinabook #bookception #interactivereading
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A fascinating look into life as an astronaut, and lots of insightful advice on how to live a good life here on Earth. I want Chris Hadfield to be my best friend
Whoooooo victory lap!! While I may not have reached a full 24 hours of reading, I'm still super stoked about how much I read! Most of all, I had a lot of fun checking out everyone's reading, entering contests, and generally having a great bookish weekend 😊

Took a break from reading to go see Star Trek Beyond (two thumbs up!) and now I'm feeling spacey! Going to read this for a little bit

I thought about posting a more deep, significant quote, but I feel like many people can relate to this particular frustration

YES. YES. YES. Standing ovation
After 3.5 hours of reading, I finished my first book! Now for some comics 😁

To inspire me while I participate in the #24in48 Readathon, I made sure to situate my reading corner near plenty of books! Directly in front of me are my large windows, which let me see the lovely day outside but avoid the 100+ degree heat! Khaleesi loves when I stay home all day, as that means more pets for her ❤️
