Present Evil, Active God by Jered Gritters
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

This is an excellent book and well written. Believers/non-believers should read this book. Even if you do not believe, it opens up everyone's mind. There are explainations of past history that helps one to understand what was going on. Also, when things go terribly wrong there is light to make us see and learn the truth of good versus evil. I recommend it.

What a great story about two manatees and a girl. Becca Wong Walker becomes the hero in this tale in her effort to fight for their safety against speeding boats and jet skis. A science project in school gives her the opportunity to spread the concern and awareness of manatees.

This heartwarming story will make you happy for Missy, Sunny, the dolphin and brave Becca. I recommend this book for the whole family.

Well, let me start with this is my first steam punk genre. And I am impressed. Lazarus Roache owns Lazacorp. Is he a villain? What is going on? This book is well written, the characters are interesting and the world building is gripping.

This book is unique and original. I really enjoyed it. If you want to read something and of another genre try steam punk.

Phantom Lady is an excellent biography written by Christina Lane. It is about the woman named Joan Harrison. She was Alfred Hitchcock's right hand. He would not have been Alfred Hitchcock without her and her screenwriting. She wrote the movie Rebecca (by Daphne Du Maurier) and many others. Harrison became the first powerful female producer in Hollywood.

A compelling story about Evan Michaels. He has past lives that he remembers clearly. One day he meets a woman that comes from a secret society of reincarnated people that keep returning through the centuries.

What evolves is a journey full of action with the likes of The Da Vinci Code. There is great world building, interesting characters and a storyline that is gripping with excitement and mystery.

This is a mystery about a mining village that was abandoned a long time ago. The residents left suddenly and disappeared. A filmmaker and her crew plan on making a film of this place. They try to find out what information they can gather. Or if there was anything sinister going on. The story is interesting with a touch of eeriness.

This is reminiscent of the phantom of the opera. This time it is a female. The story is a magical tale of the gold elixir, singing and going into the memories of the singers. All of this magic is used to make the opera successful and draw more ticket sales. Eventually, things go awry and the monster is unleashed. I like this retelling. It is different and original. 3.5⭐

Isobelle Moon discovers a long kept secret from her mother. She finds hidden inside a wall an artifact that goes back to a historic time from their country of origin. It is a love story gone wrong through a time of revolution that sends Sofiya to America leaving her family and the love of her life behind to start a new life. A very good story that is a bit sad but endearing, too.

I listened to the audiobook and loved it. The execution of putting this audiobook together is excellent. The book alone, the story, is well written as this historical fiction turns the suffragettes of the women's movement into the witch's movement in New Salem. This audiobook production should not be missed. I recommend it.

I have not read a good authentic Gothic story in a long time. It starts in the late 1800's to present day spanning several generations of a family. In this castle-like estate on the English coastline lurks a dark sinister mystery, a spectral presence looming about casting it's shadow and eeriness. Very good. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it.

This is like the old Regency books from the past. I enjoyed this story and it's characters. Drusilla is shy, has a self esteem problem. Yet is very outspoken. Gabriel is very patient and tolerant. He tries to be nice to her but she always takes his comments the wrong way. Thus, she responds with sarcasm. Something happens and forces them into marriage.

This book was not bad but it wasn't great. The storyline is evolving building up to more as this is a series. I really can't get into giving any details. Don't get me wrong if you like fantasy and fairies (I do too), you probably will like this series. As for me, I move on to book 2 and see what happens.
