This book was gifted to me by one of my best friends and it is heartbreakingly beautiful. It deals with death in a way that would allow parents to explain it to children of all ages. After the loss of my own cat in 2014 and a terrible 2024 which included the loss of my own father, it was a welcomed read that brought me to tears halfway through. Grief never leaves us, but it helps to have resources and support along the journey.

CLo will forever be my favs! I absolutely devoured this book, like I have every other one of their works I‘ve read. Anna and Liam are incredibly hot and so good to each other. This book was a very welcomed distraction from the real world and all its chaos.

I‘m not sure what I expected from this book other than a steamy demonic smut-fest and it delivered. This is such an interesting take on romantasy and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I fell in love with demonic brothers and I have 0 shame about it, can‘t wait for the next in the series!

I definitely think this book is more well written than her other work I‘ve read. The premise of the story was a welcomed change and it definitely had unexpected twists.

I loved this story so much but it felt heavier than her others, granted that could be due to me relating to the loss of a parent. Seeing all the beautiful moments and memories that flood back to you from the characters‘ POV made my heart feel a tiny bit lighter. It was almost as heartwarming and reassuring as following the main characters‘ love stories.

Sadly, we live in a world where book banning not only exists, but has a never ending list of books some consider “dangerous”. Knowledge is the one thing no one can ever take away from you. Read the banned books and form your own opinions. 🩵

This book was similar to the others in the series, with a Hallmark picturesque winter setting, the same sweet town of Dream Harbor and potential love interests. As much as I like the series, this one was harder for me to get through. I absolutely despised Kira the FMC for about 45-50% of the book. I read this book bc the MMC was sweet, kind and definitely fit the Dream Harbor vibe.

This is another perfect example of why Christina Lauren is my absolute favorite writing duo and writers. I laughed, I cried tears of sadness and joy. I was left with the warmth that only they can provide in another beautifully written book.

Call it superstition, but I‘ll be starting this book to ring in the new year. This was the first year since I got back into reading in 2021 that I didn‘t start off with a CLo book. I must be a masochist for reading this book, knowing how it would end. I love that we got Adena‘s story but it is heartbreaking to know her after reading Powerless and Reckless. I can‘t wait for the 3rd book. I need more of the poetic writing and Pae and Kai‘s story.

This is such an amazing addition to the series and keeps you guessing. We finally get a tiny bit of “action” although I‘m hoping for way more in the next book.

This book consumed me. When I wasn‘t reading it, I was thinking about how badly I wanted to read it. Powerless is filled with twists, turns, the absolute slowest and sweetest of slow burn romances and the most poetically written characters.

This book was a bit darker than the first but I appreciated the author‘s warning about that change from the first in the series. I was so glad to be back in Tita Rosie‘s world and enjoy the richness of the descriptive recipes, realness of relationship struggles between friends and family, and a solid murder mystery.

This is my first Elise Bryant book and I very much enjoyed it. I enjoy mysteries and romance so this was a welcomed purchase for me. I do wish there were a few more twists in the book and that the ending was a bit more wrapped up, but I‘d give it a solid 3.7 ⭐️s.

I really loved this book and the concept of Monsters Inc. for husbands. It was nice to see a lighthearted take on dating and relationships while also acknowledging that we all have quirks and will inevitably not love everything about our person. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a light read filled with delight and a little magic.

This book was even better than the first! Iris and Roman will always hold a special place in my heart and I was so happy to see each character through their own ending. This is the first book I have ever DNF‘d. I understand it was written in a very different time but at page 142/262, I decided I just really don‘t like it. The language is stronger than I anticipated, again understanding this was written in the 30‘s, but almost every other sentence includes some sort of derogatory reference to a person of another race.

I much prefer Hemingway for his love of polydactyl cats. Picture of Hemingway cat included.

This was my first fantasy book and I adored it! I found myself quickly rooting for Iris and Roman as individuals on their own journeys, gasping at the twists and not wanting the story to end. I‘m so glad I‘m able to read the sequel soon, as I have to know what happens next.

I had read The Fury first and then saw reviews for this book after I had read the epilogue and unknowingly read a subtle spoiler. If I hadn‘t heard it was a spoiler, I think it would‘ve been more shocking of a story, but I still recommend it.

Wow. Where to begin with this review? I love the idea of a murder mystery on a Greek island. This book had major Poirot and Shakespearean play energy. If you‘re a fan of one or both of those, then you should definitely read this one! This is my first Michaelides book and won‘t be the last!

This book is adorable with a “while you were sleeping” storyline. Peyton has 3 boyfriends, 1 she loves and 1 is a liar, but she can‘t remember who she loved. I guessed the ending pretty early on, but it is well written and filled with sweet moments.

This book is good but takes a bit to really get into the suspenseful part of the story. It focuses more on the couples‘ relationships than the plot at times, which gives away some details and allows you to figure most of the story out chapters before they‘re revealed. 3.5 ⭐️

This book was well written and covered a variety of topics regarding our society and how it views differences in gender, race, sexual orientation and even variances in family units. It was nice to read about such serious topics and have a bit of levity added to them (insert dragons), while still maintaining the severity of the situations that many people face on a daily basis. This one will definitely be a re-read!
