And that, as they say, is that. I couldn‘t have loved this series more.

“Only those who persevere can find their true ending.”
I‘ve had this book in my possession, a birthday gift, for over a month. I can barely stand to begin reading it, knowing as soon as I do, this beautiful series will begin to end for me.
I firmly believe J. K. Rowling has another story to tell. This was not it. So dry, and yet seemingly unending. I muscled through the book because I wanted to love it, but I will not be picking up the sequel.
Such a cute, quick read. The pictures really make this book. We had a lot of fun with it.
Husband asked me to read this series with him. The first book ended on such a cliffhanger I‘m kicking myself for not putting the second on hold at the same time.
Thank you for the recommendation @Mshookquilts ! I really enjoyed this story! Very original, lots of fun. Already requested the second in the series.
Been so wrapped up in the unimportant lately. This quote hits home.
“Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction.”
It was really quiet so I went toddler hunting. I found her reading a book.
Wow! My daughter had to stay home sick today and I felt so trapped at home. Picked up this book and didn‘t put it down till it was finished. It sucked me in an pulled me away from reality for hours, which is the best I could ask from any book. Absolutely enthralling and tinted with glitter. A must read for anyone who needs a little escape.
In her introduction, Madame Le‘Engle states that a child has much more capacity for understanding than an adult. This proved to be very true with my two children who sat enraptured as we listened to this story. Even my three yo could explain the complex story line when I was confused. If for no other reason, this story is a pick because I was able to see the world through my children‘s eyes for just a little while.
Freaking cat started eating my hair halfway through. Anyway. Great book! And such a quick read, I loved the hint of mystery and touch of romance embedded in this fun little pirate adventure. Doesn‘t hurt that the protagonist was a strong, intelligent female!
This series was absolutely amazing. I love the premise of a post WWIII retelling of fairy tales with magic and an interplanetary society, cyborgs, the whole deal. I fell in love with the characters, especially Scarlet. But this last book took me 6 weeks to read... I just could not get into it. It was necessary to finish the story, but I felt like the authoress spent so much time building up anticipation that the climax failed to deliver.
Listening to this with the kids in the car. It‘s hilarious. We especially love the recipe for acorn squash 🤣
Haha, I love the dedication for this book! Starting this with Jiraiya for our new bedtime read.
Oh my goodness this book is an absolute must for any little boy obsessed with bugs 🐛 🐜 🕷 the bugs open to show anatomy, every bug pops up in Jurassic sized, life like examples. There are pull out info panels and moveable parts. Absolutely enthralling. Thank you @Mshookquilts
Still stuck home sick. But at least he‘s got some Rick Riordan books to keep him distracted.
My aunt sent us so many fun book! Dee and I say Mike Muligan and his Steam Engine is a pick!
Too tired to do anything but listen to the next one, loving this series
The story was interesting, about one of our local rehabilitation facilities, but not very attention holding for my two year old who picked it out because of the pictures. The illustrations lived up to our expectations, however, with lovely pastel watercolors and a beautiful imagining of manatees.
We always try to go to the library Fridays after school. They close early that day, but then we are well supplied for the weekend. Jiraiya was giggling all the way home so I‘m pretty sure he‘d say this one is a “pick.”
Favorite mug, current favorite book series and 30 minutes before nap time is over. Nobody breathe! Lol.
Getting started listening to this as I sort laundry. So loving having access to a digital library again.
Lots of memories of reading this to my baby sister @FeatherV twenty years ago as I read to my little girl tonight.
Took an extended reading break to power through some fiber crafting, but I‘m procrastinating tonight to see if this is as good as @FeatherV says it is.
Ball the yarn and cast on a new sock, or start the book?!? I just can‘t decide.
Freaking book made me cry. Super depressing book, and it took me a while to get into, but it was riveting once I did.
Now I‘m going to go read something less maudlin.
Dee Dee‘s night time book today was about a fairy 🧚♂️ who wasn‘t very fairy-like, but was still acknowledged for her achievements. Good message, but I didn‘t form any attachment to it.
I‘ve been waiting for this one!!! So excited it finally came in.
This book is a not easy to read. It was intense and raw, real and at times truth to the point of vulgarity. It was unashamedly sexual and passionate. Rupi Kaur ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and then wrapped it up in warmth and empowerment and light. I wanted to post every other page as a quote, but I guess I‘ll stick with the one that made me find the book in the first place. “I want to apologize to all the women I have called pretty.”
“Trying to convince myself I am allowed to take up space is like writing with my left hand when I was born to use my right.”
When I say I read fast... lol.
Fun counting “one, two, free, eleven, eight.”
Sicko Daddy skipped story time and had to read this one after. Dee Dee‘s favorite part was that the dragon didn‘t die, it left on its own.
“We are allowed to do that, are we not Mabel? To invent our own endings and choose joy over sorrow?”
This book is growing on me.
“And they didn‘t get married after all.”
Dee Dee and I picked dragon books to read this week. This book is freaking adorable. Must read for little princesses.
The monthly book group I‘m part of picked this one... no clue what it‘s about and I‘m not feeling drawn to it, but I‘m trying it out anyway :)
Loved it as much as the first one.
Finally got my reading groove back with this book, it‘s definitely an easy read, but it was fun, clean and imaginative, if a little predictable. Be ware, it ends on a freaking cliff hanger!! I had to go get the next one at the library as soon as I finished.
So much I should be doing, but this book has me enthralled... maybe just one more cup of coffee... then I‘ll be a responsible adult.
Cyborg Cinderella? Yes please.
“My father was wearing his most transparent pair of boxer shorts, to show us he was angry.”
Yah... that‘s pretty much how this entire book has been this far. I have been trying to force myself to read this in between other things for over 6 months. I give up.
I loved this book. First book I‘ve read in a week since my second was born. The ending was a complete surprise for me and I‘m usually pretty good about predictions. But the best part of the book for my sappy side was that Bronwyn and Nate get back together in the epilogue 😂
Finally got my requested hold in for this month‘s book! First book of 2018. Wish my mommy brain luck actually finishing it in 2 weeks! Someone else has a hold on it too... must be good.
