At Shakespeare in the Park in Edmonton waiting for the play to start. It's Merry Wives of Windsor, set in the disco era. Let's see if the time warp works!

I'm a little concerned about the weather at the moment...
The perfect snack for a sleepover at the Red Cross (don't worry I'm just here for training). As for the book I'm getting a head start on book club reading for January, I'm liking it so far.
Sitting here waiting for Yaa Gyasi and Colson Whitehead to speak. Thanks Gill for sending me to get your book signed!
"The truest measure of a life is not its length, but the fullness in which it is lived" #mademecry #septphotochallenge #somethingforsept.
Thank you Serial Reader for helping me get through this ten minutes at a time. It might not happen otherwise. #100essentialnovelsposter
Tonight I went to see Romeo and Juliet at Bard on the Beach, where the backdrop is the sun setting over the water. It was excellent, even with the friar having to stop the show at one point due to technical difficulties. Gotta love live theatre! I find it amazing to think that this play written hundreds of years ago is still being read, studied and performed.
This drizzly weather seams fitting for a 7k walk around the seawall listening to a mystery set in Ireland.
Clearly I can't sleep so I'm catching up on the last few days of the #augustphotochallenge. Here are pink books and green books and #pinkandgreenbooks. They range from Canadian classics, to childhood favourites, to mediocre bargain table impulse buys and a reimagining of Jayne Eyre that I loved.
Looks like to find a minimal book cover I had to go with left over textbooks that are still lingering on my bookshelf #augustphotochallenge #minimalistcover
I don't have the book with me so I give you my view as I drink my morning coffee. This has to be my first adult novel although I didn't actually pick or read it myself. I must have been about ten and one of the high school girls, my brother's friend, read it to us on the bus going to and from school. I was fascinated and horrified, and couldn't wait to get to the bus and find out what happened next! #funfridayphoto @Liberty
Finishing off the Lunar Chronicles while staying at the beach for the week with my brother's family. With this view and my nephew cooking me breakfast and making me coffee every day they may not get rid of me on Monday!
Listening to this in the ferry line up as I head to the beach for the week with my niece and nephew...oh and my sister in law :) Hour 15 of @24in48
Reached twelve hours and am finishing up this book while sipping coffee on the patio of the art gallery #24in48
'The outlandishness of his explanation put her at ease. It was ridiculous, but she accepted ridiculous'. This far into @24in48 some ridiculousness is good to keep from wanting a nap.
Five and a half hours into @24in48 listening to this audiobook. Fantasy is not a genre I've ever read much of but I picked up the first book from the staff picks section at Chapters last summer and quite enjoyed it so I was glad to see this sequel available from the library:)
I've been saving this as the perfect start to the @24in48 readathon. It's the kindle version but as you can see I have a nice and tall TBR stack of 'real' books along with a supply of tea and snacks to keep me going.
