This is what I am looking forward to for my weekend: #coffee #books and my bed. I am so drained from giving so much of myself this week- I very much look forward to some alone time with my book and wedding planning with my partner.

Just a little #teacherdesk #shelfie for today. I have learned so much about finding balance and letting go so that other things can come together today. I decided to display some books so that my students can have their interest piqued and I‘ve been pimping out some books to some, all in all, it‘s been a good day 🤓☕️✌🏽📚#teacherlife #bellhooks

CoffeeCatsBooks Lol, I didn‘t look at your name and thought 💭 wow, that looks just like my school! Happy Friday! 7y

Teaching is a work of art, much like this mural which I closely accompanied its trajectory, we as #teachers have a vision for perfection that might not always come true- but if we keep an #openmind, magic can happen! I believe in the #youthofourcountry to make changes and moves towards a more perfect place to live in 👩🏽‍🏫📚#nycteacher

#ChildrenOfBloodAndBone envelops its reader in a non-stop, action packed, fantastical adventure into the world of its #heroine, #Zelie, and the people she fights so passionately and stubbornly to save from the brink of extinction in the hands of their bloodthirsty king, #saran

#tomiadeyemi invokes the #blacklives lost to #policebrutality and #xenophobia in some of her most memorable characters and gives them life again through this #book.

#MorganJenkins #ThisWillBeMyUndoing is a phenomenal read, raw and uncut- it delves into the the deep and dark moments of a young black girl trying to fit in a different skin while grappling with her #identitycrisis - a woman unraveling and remembering all the moments that bring her to the altar of her own becoming. #memoirs #blackwomanbrilliance #racism #blackwomen #blacklivesmatter #blackwriters

Jess7 #I borrowed this book from the library, but had to return it before I had a chance to read it. It sounds really good 7y
Momoniqui @Jess7 it‘s really good! I am working on finishing it, and as I teach a group of freshmen girls it‘s so interesting to see how much of what the author wrote about her experiences mirrors that of my students 😒 7y
overtheedge What a fantastic, heartbreaking and warming memoir. Honest, candid, and we'll written, this eye opening book will help us all to really consider how we, as humans, interact. This book is vital!! I hope she will continue to share her experiences and wisdom with us! 7y

RadicalReader @Momoniqui I completely understand that feeling when reading a book and enjoying it so much you don‘t want it to end but then wish there was a sequel in the works or a film being made to enjoy it more 7y
Momoniqui @QuoteQueen thank you so much! 7y
Momoniqui @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego thank you for the welcome!! 7y
