2018 was my Year of Reading! I finally started to keep track of what I read, what I wanted to read, and how I felt about it. I read a tiny fraction of what I wanted to, but here‘s my top ten books! Made for Love was definitely the oddest and the Bridgertons are always a delightful treat. I recommend Station Eleven to everyone, unless you don‘t love Shakespeare, wandering symphonies, cults, and dystopian futures; it all comes together, I promise.
Excited to finally start reading Dread Nation today! Just read the prologue and chapter 1, already hooked.😃
pickFinished this a week ago and I‘ve already recommended it to 3 people. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A close look at families affected by the 2008 closing of the GM factory that employed many in town. Listened to the audio book, which is how I like to consume non-fiction, and I heartily recommend the audio. It‘s an easy story to follow, compelling and straightforward. Sometimes heartbreaking but always respectful of the individuals and their choices. A great read!

pickFinished 3rd book in the Red Queen series, ready for final book! Impatiently waiting for a library copy. Best book in the series, so far. The author‘s writing style and ability is growing. Exciting threads opening up in the plot line; hoping the author weaves them together in the final book. This series doesn‘t break new ground, but it shows the protagonist on a journey of self and world discovery. No doubt, books I read because of the covers.
