@Melwilk Just got your book over here and I have to say that I‘ve been meaning to read this book and author since I read another one of his. In fact it‘s on my Amazon Wishlist! I look forward to reading it. Thanks!

This book is the definition of, what I'll call, a "Soul Punch." It's depressing, sad, frustrating, and a little too real. However, it's impossible to put down once you start reading. Williams does a good job of making the reader experience the emotions of his character. Definitely a memorable book and one i hope to add to my collection some day. #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #LitsyGoesPostal @24HourReadingRoom
So I'm not sharing the books name but I thought all the romantics would love this little paragraph. #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #LitsyGoesPostal @24HourReadingRoom
So this is awkward. I've had a lot of things going on in my life recently that have been taxing physically, mentally, emotionally, and every other dimension you can think of... on TOP of keeping up with my studies, but for some reason I am flying through this book! It's depressing and it's the last thing I thought I'd want to read in my life right now but it's extremely good! I have no idea how I managed to get halfway through! #24HRR
So I finally got the next book in for #24HRR and, as someone who loves journals, I absolutely love the journal in this package (the one not shown. It's made of a leather type material). I kind of have reserves about the book itself but I won't know if I like it if I don't try reading it, right? #24HourReading Room @24HourReadingRoom #LitsyGoesPostal
Oh it's time for some quality time. I try, sometimes fail, to read at least one chapter a night before bed. I'm maybe about halfway through. The book is alright. There's scenes that don't really make sense and I'm not really sure where the story is going. But I guess I'll find out. #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom @24HourReadingRoom
Haven't had as much time to read this book as I would like with all the school work I've been doing but this book is interesting. Even though I'm unsure of where the book is going right now, the main character keeps me engaged and even smiling a little bit. @24HourReadingRoom #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #LitsyGoesPostal
I'm terribly as keeping surprised because I'm silly and don't know how to do "unknown" as a title. Anyways this finally came in and I can't wait to wait. #24HRR #

And my little collection of books grows slightly bigger with these Christmas presents and MAYBE a few that I bought myself ;)
"What Bread To Eat" is perhaps my favorite poem by Taylor Mali and he is such a talented speaker as well. Everyone should go onto YouTube and search for him and see how incredible his works are and how well he presents them! He was an English teacher turned poet so you know he has some stuff to say about our "evolution of words" known as slang! Highly recommended to anyone who loves Slam Poetry or just poetry books!
I absolutely loved this book. It was almost impossible to put down when I was reading it and pages passed by in the blink of an eye. I like how all the stories sort of intertwine in the overall plot and progression of the story. There was no main character but a main purpose, a main lesson. Definitely a book everyone should read. (SPOILERISH) But I still can't figure out why the Martians handed land ownership over to Sam Parkhill! Help?
My thoughts on what rough drafts are. First entry in the new journal and I'm loving it! Sorry if my handwriting is hard to read.
Happy birthday to me! I got a new leather journal with an incredible design on it and The Writers Toolbox, an exercise game (sort of) to help build up stories, poems, etc and help with writers block!
I haven't really felt like reading much with everything going on in my life. But I forced myself to sit down and read the past 2 days and my how time flies. I get so caught up in the pages of this book. It's ridiculously good!
So with finals upon me next week, I have not had the time or energy to read anymore of the Martian Chronicles. Instead, I have been reading class notes and PowerPoints nonstop. I'm gonna need a few weeks sleep after this ☠️💀
And so I begin a new book again. Let's see what you got, Ray Bradbury!
I loved the ten stories in this book! My only problem with this book was the plot of the main story.didn't make a lot of sense. I had so many questions about how the characters connected together and the questionable chain of events. Anyways, I pick this book because the focus should be on the words the characters say. The plot is confusing but the meaning is bottomless! #24HRR #24HourReading Room #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
This is EXACTLY the kind of reader that I am. Italo Calvino did an excellent job describing the different kinds of readers in this chapter! @24HourReadingRoom #24HRR #24HourReading Room #Litsygoespostal
I absolutely love how this book depicts writing and reading! #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
I absolutely love these pens that @Amandajoy was so nice to pass onto me! They write smoothly and don't smear as easily as my other pens. Thank you!
Here's the other comparison he made with love and reading that makes me smile like an idiot. (Last one for tonight, I promise). #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
Sorry but equating love/romance to what it's like to read has got to be the best comparison to date. #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
This chapter is chalk full of good quotes. This one is especially appealing because it's fascinating to look at people's lives as stories. It's interesting and changes how you look at everything! #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
If this doesn't accurately portray my life, I don't know what does. #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal @24HourReadingRoom
After a stressful thanksgiving that has left me drained in every way you could possibly think of, I'm gonna welcome myself back to the routine of college by 1) going to bed wicked early to catch up on sleep and 2) read a chapter of this book that I've been distracted from! #24HRR @24HourReadingRoom #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal
I love the way he describes life events and how it creates a Cause and Effect chain despite what we may want to do. So far, this book has been interesting but it hasn't captivated me, but well see! #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal
I won't say much about this book because I only read the first chapter so far, but I can already tell that this book is going to be different from any book I've read before. It's intimidating, scary, and exciting at the same time! #24HRR #24HourReadingRoom #Litsygoespostal
This huge package finally came in the mail today and looks like there's a lot of goodies inside of it. Can't wait to dig in and see what the book is! @Amandajoy #litsygoespostal #24HourReadingRoom #24HRR
I have a serious "I'm broke because all my money goes to buying new books" illness and I don't think I want the cure! #newbooks #happyme
Since I'm bad with dates and remembering anything, especially in the long term, I decided to put to use this empty whiteboard in my dorm to kick off my first ever Litsy mailing bookclub! I'm so excited and very nervous since I'm also in college and will probably be moving between my home address and college address in this 3 year period! Sorry @Amandajoy :/ #litsygoespostal #24HourReadingRoom #24HRR
Right in the existential feels! Have to admit, I thought this was going to be a dry read but this is from The Notes from the Underground by Dostoevsky and it's pretty good so far. Hopefully Satre's Being and Nothingness won't be as dry as some people say!
After reading this book, I feel like I have this craving I can't satisfy for more books! So I turn to you, My Litsy Book Drug Instigators, for more good books I should be on the lookout for? :D Thank you!
Holy crap! I don't think I've ever been on such an emotional rollercoaster. It's hard enough for me to express emotions but reading this had me in tears for the first time in years! It's a fantastic book and, now, one of my favorites (mostly my #1)! Thank you, Litsy, for bringing this book to my attention. I am so glad I read it!
As a writer, too, I happen to feel this quote on a very personal level. New favorite quote!
So this was a relatively short read that I went through in just a few hours and I have to say it's pretty good. Although it reads more for younger audience perhaps, it was written beautiful and I enjoyed every word of it. Would definitely recommend it. The underline meaning of being brace is something that should definitely be taken to heart!
As I'm combing groggy the books I got today, I decided to start with Coraline. I have to say, I'm glad I did. So far, this book as been very entertaining and different from any book I've read so far (shows how long it's been since Ive read a proper book) and I'm almost sad to put it down to go do adult responsibilities.
My books finally came in and I'm beyond happy to start reading some of the books that got great reviews from you guys. Also can't wait to dive a little deeper into Existential Philosophy writings from philosophers like Sartre! It's a good, rainy day to start on my small pile!
