Finished this one before going into work. I'm not a huge fan of the Harry Bosch novels but this new series with Renee Ballard is too-notch in my opinion. Looking forward to more in this series.

TrishB Love Bosch and this just seemed female Bosch - so loved it too 💝 7y

Trudging through this book and not liking it so much. What's with a female acquaintance calling another female "babe"? It's just weird.

JoeStalksBeck I've heard British authors do that before 7y
aizekj I know lots of people who say this. Doesn't sound strange at all to me, but maybe it just depends where you're from. 😊 7y

Solid book for this debut author. The frequent flashbacks threw me off at first but they really do work as the story progresses. And the story was really good. Dark and gritty but so darn good. BookishMarginalia, it was really good!!

I am fascinated by tiny houses. Lots of nice photographs in this book.

LeslieO Me too! I love thinking about what I would take, what I would give up, and how my husband would live in his own tiny house next door cuz we both could not live in one. 7y
Zelma I could live in one easily as a single person with no pets. I've lived in a small studio and Mr. Z once lived on a ferry boat. But not with a partner or cats; way too crowded. 7y

This was such a well-written book. It follows the love affair between a woman and a pop star half her age. Incredibly sexy but also very emotional. We see the full life cycle of the relationship - beginning to end.
