LibrarianRyan It's always the not so popular books. Something like Artemis Fowl (even though now with a movie...) or Red Rising, or Illuminae. Not a book like HP or PErcu Jackson that have been read or known about by even people who didn't read the book or watch the movies. 7y

LibrarianRyan @EchoLogical maybe? I hyped Red Rising when it came out so hard. I couldn't shut up about it. There is even a bad you tube video of me recommending it for my last library. And I read Illuminae after getting Gemina and meeting Jay and Amie at BEA. Such a good series. I hope there is a spin off. I need more Aiden. 7y

revenge4porgy Possibly. Although, at this point I‘m taking book recommendations from my nephews, Amulet, et al. I‘m also reading Murder in the Manuscript Room, and just started reading Richard Cornwall‘s newest 📖. 7y

LittlePixels @nuwanda A Little Life! I loooooved that book, but can almost never recommend it to anyone because of the subject matter. "Hey, this book will rip your guts into a million tiny little pieces, but you should totally read it because it's awesome!" ?? 7y

I track my reading on my own spreadsheets (yes, plural 😐), but today I got the email saying I was behind on my reading challenge numbers. So I spite-typed all my books in for the past 2 months. And then this started happening. Goodreads nooooooo. #whyilovelitsy

tricours It's a new thing though? I've never opened them, but I guess it's a try to push similar books or something like that... 8y

It might be a cool idea if they sent these emails out like...after a varied amount of time: "this time last month, you'd just finished [title]" and then a quotation from the book that you underlined or one that's popular? 8y

elkeOriginal Someone mentioned these are new in the settings so check there to turn off! I don't think anyone likes this. Super annoying & what is their point? 8y

MicheleinPhilly You can turn them off in your settings. There's also an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email. 8y

drokka Its tape just not adhesive like what we commonly use today, but you still buy the kind of tape referred to in a fabric shop. 8y
