Found this tote bag with a spot on depiction of me touring the many fine bookstores of Northern California in….a fine bookstore in Northern California. I can‘t even say how many books I would have purchased had I not had to get them all in a suitcase and a carry on for a plane ride home. With great regret did I have to stop at purchasing a mere 3. 🤪📚

Another great installment. My only complaint is I‘m having a hard time keeping similar-looking characters straight. I guess I‘ll have to do a full-series reread at some point while I wait for the next one this fall!

I checked the mail on my way out to pick up kiddo from dance rehearsal, and my preorder arrived! Guess what I‘m reading while I wait. Of course, my bag now has two large books and a water bottle in it, so it weighs a ton.

I liked it. The world building is interesting; like, did the storm create the powers? Or was the storm a result of the powers manifesting? Why some kids and not others? Good thing the story continues online!

These are the books (and tchotchkes) that were in front of my books on my bookshelf.

My goodness I have a lot of books to read to “fit” in my bookshelves.

They‘re not even a small bookshelves!!

I needed that. It's wonderful to be able to rely on a brand of keenly observant humour to laugh at yourself and the world.

No matter how many of these I may have already seen on Tumblr, they're simply evergreen in being relatable, stress-relieving, and occasionally uplifting. There's a section in the back 'Making Stuff in the Modern Era: A Guide for the Young Creative' for those to whom it may apply, also includes more comics!
